Yeah, last night i spent like an hour or two watching clips of this on the jewtube. I admit ten year old me only watched the series because i had a crush on sakura, mainly because of her voice in the dub. Now i just like seeing all the pretty colors and animation and all the magic stuff.

You can, it's called being American. They literally had their own butchered version of CCS where Sakura was not the MC because American boys are too insecure to watch something with a female lead and all of the non-heteronormative relationships were removed.

By his own admission, he only watched the horrible CardCaptors dub, which edited out 2/3 the show and any sexual entendre.

But even people who have seen the show start adding in a whole lot of "homosexuality" that wasn't there. For example, Touya is bisexual, not homosexual. And neither Yukito or Tomoyo ever show sexual attraction to the character they like. But most people are not taught the different types of love like Philia, Eros, Familial and so on. Which is a problem when it's pretty much the basis of the show.

Other countries got that dub with all the episodes, including the ones without Li or where he doesn't do much. I think Americans started with the episode that introduced Li too.

USA Is the only country that censored their dub AFAIK.
Canada also got the American dub but that's because they're an American colony.

I'm saying that the shitty dub had all the episodes but only played a handful that wouldn't offend the sensibilities of American boys.

No, it's because a Candian company did the dub (Nelvana). Same shitty company that did the Sailor Moon dub. Can't blame everything on the US.

I should clarify i never watched the american dub because i'm not american. And i generally don't like dubs from my country because there's only a couple good actors buried among so many stinkers and bad (censored) translations. Fuck, i haven't liked anime since highschool. All i do now is rewatch shit from my childhood on japanese

Feels good getting to enjoy the original show (complete with the original opening) in my language. These days in my country they just dub over the censored american version.
