Two people who play a game together accidentally meet in real life

>two people who play a game together accidentally meet in real life
okay
>guild master works at the local store
that's a coincidence
>in the past the two main characters also played a different game together without knowing eachother
oh come on now

I guess it makes it slightly more possible since no one except neets would be playing during business hours.

I happened to work with a famous vtuber...

It was pretty normal in the early days of internet to have absolutely no fucking clue who the people you were playing with were. It was normal to have the game itself be the only place you could contact a person you were playing with. Less so today where so much of the communication has moved into discord.

Sure the level of coincidence is a bit much but thats part of the story.

The plot sounds good - worth watching?

Yes. It’s really sweet.

relateable AF, sweetest main character possible, refreshing change from highschool age cast.

Thanks! I like to have 1 serious anime and 1 lighter hearted/slice of life anime on the go at all times, so I can choose depending on my mood/time of day. I’ve just finished watching New Game so this seems like a good replacement

Yeah it's a good one if you're in the mood for some dork romance

Honestly, more likely than you think, playing jap MMOs already puts you into a small pool, if they have similar tastes, then it is likely they will play thr same game, and if they are in the same location, they will play on the same server most likely.

And if they use an image board it is even more likely.

crazy that so much time has passed that knowledge of the old internet has to be relayed

this kind of thing happens all the time. what's your point?

I'd say most current 4channers haven't used the internet for more than 10 years. And internet has changed so rapidly in the last 10+ years that it's not really a surprise. People think it has been always in this normified post-social-media state.

you ever hear of six degrees of seperation?

>in the past the two main characters also played a different game together without knowing eachother

The story is about F2P MMOs, which aside from PSO2 are mostly fairly small. Japan has its own servers, so the already small pool of possible users is further limited.
Some games have regional servers, so that's another narrow-down.
Overall, in japan this scenario is a lot more likely than you'd think, especially if you play smalltime MMOs.

There is also a difference between using the internet for facebook/wikipedia and shit like that or actuallly browsing image boards.

The more things change

That too. So many people don't really know anything outside of the popular big websites where as in the past it was all niche websites.

>So many people don't really know anything outside of the popular big websites
Ha, It's worse than that. Kids this day only knows to use "apps" on their phone, most of them can't even use web browser properly

>final episode is a dream
fucking stupid

it's a romcom dude
not hard scifi

I kind of dropped it in the middle. It thought it was implied that the one co worker of the guy was the one from the previous MMO

Todd actually has pretty good taste in that top ten.

I would love a second season, but it will never happen.

>Star Wars Online

I will never not be mad about the new game expansion. Fuck you Sony you dumb cucks.

Are MMO's still a big thing in Japan as a western person would understand them?

When I think MMOs I think games like Eve Online, Warcraft, or Guild Wars.

What does a Japanese person think when they think MMO? Those cellphone games?

There are plenty of Asian MMOs, in fact apart from WoW MMOs are way more popular there than they are here.

Be certain you aren't thinking of Chinese or Korean MMOs

No. The director of this anime is a nazi and holocaust denier. I'm not even joking, you can google it.

Lol, and?
