Nah, Deku is still a kid. The next time they will fight (probably in a couple canon years) it will be more like that

I'm mostly interested in what's gonna happen to bakugo after this.

Unlike everyone else I'm pretty sure he won't be quirk-controlled or dequirked and I think the injury will do some significant damage. He's out of commission for the rest of the fight, and is in pretty much the same state as Gran Torino: in desperate need of medical attention, fast, or else he's gonna bleed out and die.

Furthermore, what happens afterward? One of the tendrils stabbed through his shoulder, so I'm sure it'll hurt to use his quirk for a while. Does he have spinal damage? Can he eat? Is he gonna be coughing up blood? Will he need physical therapy? Will he be written out of the manga for long periods of time due to his recovery?

It's interesting how many directions hori could go with this. Providing deku doesn't heal him with an asspull, of course.

I havent been this excited for the next chapter in a long time.
