This might honestly be not only Doga Kobo's best anime, but one of the greatest CGDCTs of all time. No drama, no bullshit, no twists...just 12 comfy episodes of great characters doing what the subject of the anime entails.

New Game! and New Game!! exists. Plus, I like a little drama in my CGCCT shows. New Game!! did that well. The episode where Ko snapped at Aoba I cried.
New game is probably the worst example of "no bullshit, no drama" you could have given. That's not to say it's bad, I love new game. But it's full of drama. Especially if you've read the manga. The destruction dodgeball arc is the most forced drama bs in the whole series
