We had the uncesored one piece version(no 4kids shit) on television for a few years in the 00s, then some orthodox christian parents sperged and asked to take it down.
The manga and the anime remain number one in the country though.

It was the only one of the big 3 that both ended and ended satisfactorily without any magazine/editor drama. The end result is that Naruto is going to permanently be considered a classic and gateway anime for 90% of anime fans. Middle schoolers and high schoolers today who are just getting into anime all know what Naruto is and watch it. It’s one of the most culturally significant anime as far as garnering overseas fans goes.
