Dether is much more than local bitcoin. It gives you a chance to be the jew. Buy a zone and charge rent to shops in your zone. Cash people out for a premium. You don’t even have to be in the zone to own it. If someone else wants your zone they need to buy dether, increasing the demand. Zones also incur taxes which are payed by burning dether which decreases supply so dth is deflationary. Zones can taken over by initiating an auction. If you’re willing to stake more dth than the last guy then it’s yours. If this takes off and there are bidding wars in heavily populated areas dth will pump hard. And this is just what’s already built into the app — not what’s possible with the protocol.
