Write an isekai plot that isn't shit

as long as it has someone going to another world it's fine

A man from a modern urban fantasy setting is working for an archeologist excavating some old ruins, he falls into a portal to a medieval fantasy world. in this world literacy is extremely rare, when the villagers in the place he ends up discover he knows how to read he ends up getting enlisted into an ongoing insurrection with a job of reading captured enemy communications.

He would never actually be in battle since he is too valuable, it's about his interactions with other characters.

I have sex with all my favorite anime girls

a man paints a wall and waits for it to dry.

A young man, who just turned 18, is trucked on accident whole he's on his way to work one day. Instead of walking up in a hospital bed, he finds himself waking up in what seems to be a boat. He's packed in with many other men. He looks at this hands to see his holding a rifle, something he's never done in his previous life. The other men's faces are grim and pale, a seriousness about them the likes of which MC-kun has never seen before.

He can't understand them; they talk but it sounds like an American taking. He knew he should have paid more attention in his English classes. For now he's just getting but and pieces from the other men. "Beach" "Run" "Pillbox". A man near MC-kun is retching sick into a bag, another is boeing his head, muttering into his hands, the high walled boat they're all in lurches to a halt and the front of the best drops. The men around him begin running out into the waves. A beach head in the distance with great iron crosses strewn about is all MC-kun can see.

>"Ehhh! What's this?! I was just on my way to work and now I'm an American soldier invading the beaches of Normandy?! EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!"

A boy falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

Then the boy gets the "him" in the other world to agree to switch places with him because alternate universe boy has been going through the same thing with his own crush (different girl).

A baby girl is dropped by a politician while he's campaigning and she suffers brain damage. The politician's career is destroyed and she's crippled for life. She's now in college and when she sleeps, she's sent to a world where she wasn't dropped and the politician instead went on to change the world. She comes back when she sleeps in the other world. The conflicts are about the trade-offs between her familiar world and the use of her body.

Define "shit".

i have one but im gonna write about it, not gonna promote myself here cuz cringe but,

>Programmers copied the final boss from a "Diablo VR" like game into a new more calm game farming or somethong like that, they forgot to delete previus information, the now common NPC was told he was an NPC in repeated occasions before, but he didnt need to think about it, so he didnt care, but now, he knows that if he is discovered he would likely be corrected.

>He has to do something, become liked, become something popular among players, so he isnt removed, and has to be sufficiently tame so he isnt noticed by a developer, do stuff but he doesnt even know what the new game is about, and the game isnt launched yet, theree is just beta testers around, and they are searching for bugs

(he never gets his powers back, not in an useful way at least, maybe when or if he is discvered if the devs react positively can give him something back as an easter egg)

>It ends in hardcore what if we're also in a simulation for the devs, if we turn off the servers and kill everyone there without caring, would that mean that the guys that are in theory watching us will too? we cant turn it off, at least we have to prove were better than them, and if nothing matters, at least nothing matters.

The only good one so far
Are you writing it? I would read it.

When does a "transported to another world" story stop being an isekai?

cool, and at the same moment, the girl switches with the other girl, but at this point they already love both versions so they dont know

It's a copypasta, user

thank god that thread is still in the archives since I missed it, it's a pain going through a thread on an offsite archive.

truck driver gets run over by his own truck after the handbrake fails. gets isekaied into the world where all his road kill victims are. now he has to hide is identity because the majority hold a grudge and are now on a man hunt as the god announced to them that he got isekaied too for shits and giggles. no cheat skills for him.

isekai means "another world" so never

Alice in Wonderland but she gets gangbanged and mind broken by the two twins and mad hatter.

alice in hell is essentially that

MC from 1000 years in the future gets killed by a delivery drone and isekai's to a world that resembles 21st century technology and uses basic knowledge of his world to revolutionize the ancient world he now lives in.

Really?, i thought i had already seen all copypastas at this point...

And apparently its even a popular one
Keitai

guess ill add it to the list

>the strongest daoist in the world, half step into a brand new realm never seen before
>his world is lacking the energy for him to ascend, so he travels to another world without cultivation full of animal earred people
>while he's about to meditate for 1 million year to gather enough energy, he hears a sound of a woman being attacked by green midget people.

there is a hentai like that, i mean not the twins but basically everything rapes her in there, even the fall down the tree hole is just endless rape

not good

I mean, as a joke is quite good, its like every other isekai

I want an isekai where someone turns into a monster and actually has to deal with it. None of this "oh I was reincarnated as a slime/goblin/whatever but I LEVELLED UP and now I can basically look like a human again lol xd" nonsense. Maybe a dragon or a mind flayer or something. That would be cool.

isekai'd into a mecha anime

Life on Mars adaption; bored salaryman gets isekaid back into an approximation of 80s Japan, complete with art style shift. He has to adjust to living in boom era Japan, with all the fulfillment and alienation that promises, all the while trying to work out if he's hallucinating, truly time travelled or in some kind of simulacra.

Their's been a ton of foreign versions of this show, set in dictatorship eras Spain and Korea and iron curtain era Russia and Czechoslovakia, so it's not like the BBC is holding it's card close to it's chest.

I'd just write a Dunbine sequel that isn't Garzey's Wing

Define "good" then.
inb4o not shit

not bad

id read that, but you have to add more to the story, explain why the driver is so shitty he kills a guy every other weekend, while also making him smart enoughnot to get killed inmediatly, maybe alcoholic dies just before getting redemption, his wife cant be dead, too much of a cliche, you need another trauma, maybe make him feel discontempt with life since nothing really matters as he is fully atheist but as he died and noticed there is something in the afterlife he can try and do something

>28 posts
>OP "shit" still undefined
>playing into opponent' hands like that
Fucking casuals.
Define "shit" then we can talk, faggot.

>isekai'd into a mecha anime
That's Vision of Escaflowne.

...

Yeah that is total bs, i agree with you

oh yea i forget about that

>exclusion definition
Rope yourself.

A guy who dropped out of school and who is currently working part time at a library finds a tome that sends 3 people to another world as heroes. He convinces his 2 friends who are at that time living at his place for school reasons to join him and they, thinking it was just some stupid game, actually get teleported to another world. They get the powers of mind(detecting, copying and controlling magic), body(hard shapeshifting) and soul(influence fate, not apparent at the beginning) and are sent off. Their quest is to stop the previously summoned heroes who have gone rogue.

An adult man in his 40s is transported in another world to save his weeb daughter that got herself stuck there. He doesn't understand anything about the logic of the world and proceeds to spend all of his exp points on str.

OP dies and goes to the faggot dimension, it's all about deep philosophy and nihilism and says a lot about society and human nature.

ok I suppose the real answer would be something does fall into the same trappings as most isekai, like rpg mechanics, jesus-kun mc, harems (fine if done well, though I'm not really sure what that exactly entails either), and a half assed fantasy world. aka not shit means original, to me at least.

Knights and Magic and Rayearth as well

doesn't*

ffs its not that hard, shit means basically cliche shit.

MC is depresed because he has no GF parents nowehre to be seen.
truck-kun
god gives him powers
he is now the most op shit ever

other example

guy is a the or the friend/servant of strongest faggot in his world
dies in battle
comes to our world
gets a GF and 20 sluts wanna gooblle on his cock
its all shit and giggles

that, that is shit, honestly lurk more

War isekai, where Earth goes to war with another world.
This time though, there are no waifus, no shitty goofy shenanigans from our quirky gaggle of faggots.
Just make it a series where there's the brutality of war, politics, and the life during war time. Where new things are discovered about the nature of this occurrence, and how humans can't use the magic from the fantasy world they're fighting (and the magic itself is quite deadly, not like a certain novel shitting the bed) but discover that they have access to protections and abilities that they have as a result of living in a world without magic, souls or gods.
A natural resistance of sorts, with skills shaped by the person's own being, which allows them to not get wiped out when faced with some of the fiercest magics. At the same time, the fantasy world starts to get more acquainted with the technology of our modern world, and begin to develop more sophisticated weaponry that they use in conjunction with their magic.
All of this, with the natural results of such a conflict, where brutality of all kinds is found, slavery, rape and torture, and the clash of cultures.

rayearth sucked, mech-wise. had hope for that 2nd season but the fights were just lame

A guy native to a standard RPG style isekai world gets killed, and is reincarnated into another standard RPG style isekai world with slightly different rules

no
