Wow japanese fans are vocal about the new chapter and they are not happy. Theyre discontented with the way eren's character is going and the whole genocide. I guess they were holding out hope for a lelouch route. There's even a petition that's garnered thousands of signatures to have the chapter changed. Obviously that wont happen but it shows how unhappy they are.

Its revealed in 108 that Farmer-Kun wanted Historia to cross the fence, and only threw stones to get her to play with them. The fence represents the end of the bordered farmlands owned by Historias mother, Almas parents. Historia was told never to cross the fence by Frieda who was influenced by the vow of renunciation. Thus the fence is a barrier to Historias freedom, a wall within the walled kingdom of Paradis.
The paralleled scene shows that now it is Historia inquiring for the Farmer to get out of his own barrier and walk out the door of the shed, which represents his hard work and self imposed guilt ridden slavery to the Queens orphanage as repentance, and towards her, forgoing societies expectations of nobles, by settling with a lowborn and ultimately forgiveness.

So, why aren't the other 2 kids that bullied her in the flashback doing the same thing? Maybe they grew up into well-adjusted adults and realized you don't have to hold yourself overly-accountable for all the stupid shit you did as a kid. If I went to school with a future president and I bullied him in 3rd grade, I wouldn't go out of my way to make up for it just because he's the president now. I'd cut my losses and do better in my present life. And I certainly wouldn't agree to put myself at risk if he asked me to lie to the government in some secret cover up for mission for him.
