It's okay. I like the concept and the fights are occasionally great but otherwise the show is completely average. The China arc was pretty boring though. The fanservice delivery catgirl is great, but also fucks up any scene that's supposed to have any sort of dramatic tension. Definitely not a must-watch by any stretch, but good if you like the fightan.

All I remember about watching S1 was that the director absolutely fucked the narrative and lewd moment pacing. You either have lewd shit completely destroying any narrative tension/seriousness going on or literally NOTHING happened except for fanservice. Like you could literally edit out every fanservice related scene and you would have a better, more concise show. I've never seen anything like it. Maybe watching battle harems has completely fucked my perception of how fanservice can be incorporated into an ongoing plot narrative. What do I know?

Not because of the chars, not because of the plot, but because based SHAFT(tm) director left for greener pastures, whatever those might be. I suspect a nice boobie anime. Hopefully.
