It took 30 years, but Grappler Baki (the first series) has finally been translated.

Actually, it's been translated for about a decade. But the translations were made in-posts next to the raws and having been sitting in various Zig Forums scraper archives all this time.

Spiny gets bent out of shape that all the downstream scraper aggregators only pull the first upload from Mangadex, so whatever shit chapter gets posted first becomes the one any non-dex reader will see forever.

However, Meganon's chapters are pretty good and whoever posted the chapters to dex saved everyone from these awful Joppbo scans.

This is something I disagree and I think people are giving me far too much credit on this. The early volumes have a terrible quality because I still didn't know how to do many things. Whole speak balloons are left untranslated and the lack of redraws made some panels too jarring. Also, lack of sfx in almost all of the chapters

Compare your chapters to Wild Fang Project and you'll see that there's a huge gulf between awful and "pretty good".

Decent raws, a legible translation, and clean typesetting already puts you in the top 25% of scanlators.

I do, i don't like anime i can't stand japanese voice acting but i also don't like hearing stuff not in their original language when i watch a movie or a series and most of the times the music is annyoing and ill fitting so i just stick to manga.
