I think Boichi is a great artist, but I just don't like his art that much personally. I think its just too overly detailed muscles when they're shown, and something about the way he does faces that look a bit off to me, though only in some panels.

Not bait, Boichi is on all levels of technical behavior superior to Oda, but Oda doesn't try to draw well- he openly admits his "female figure" is just a stick with balloons.

I feel the same way, I can’t explain why but art can be really detailed and realistic but not necessarily “good” or enjoyable to read

Same here. To be honest what most impresses me about his art is how quick and consistent he is. I also hated the art whiplash in Sunken Rock where it would go from hyper detailed to goofy cartoon from one panel to another

I thin his female designs have the different issue of just being super hyper serialized from what I remember of Sun Ken Rock, though maybe this is selective memory. I also never read his newer work with Dr Stone

All his girls tend to have bug eyes. The men look normal, the girls look like ayyylmaos. There's a certain charm about it, but the difference can't be understated.

Probably not, but that is something someone said for all artists.

nice short story. I like that we found out how he got his devil fruit. It always seemed weird to me that Oda never showed it, not even in a single flashback panel or something.

Nah, definitely not, his artstyle seems to have an inner conflict with whether its wants to be stylizied or faithful to the human form, so you get weird clashes like simple anime faces with overly detailed torsos that also get exaggerated, if he could wrangle one part to stay uniform to the other it'd look better.

It's a serialization. It's not over yet.

While I agree and his art style is an acquired taste dr stone looks really good and doesn't suffer the flaws of his usual stuff in my opinion
