It's less about "romance" and more about nonsensical characterization that permeates every area of the story. Remember when the BAM was necessary evil because carnivores have INSTINCTS they cannot suppress? This also was fixed in one night because... reasons!!

I never implied otherwise. Paru wanted to go down this route but very clearly struggled with it, and I think it ending so quick is because she has no drive to do anything else with the series after the last year and a half of how messy it got.

I am legitimately mad. I am even okay with it ending up with Haru marrying him and everything but there were so many fucking threads that felt like being cut off and abandoned in the middle, so much social and society problems, the whole hybrid conflict, the side-stories the classmates have, potential development for Sebun and Yuno, EVERYTHING related to Louis and Yafya and a shit ton of other stuff I could mention. Even the carnivore/herbivore conflict isn't fully resolved and developed and the whole Beastars shit. Legosi just becoming a Beastar in the last fucking chapter would be retarded as fuck.

Seriously I genuinely hope the anime will get another 1-2 seasons and give it an original ending. It cannot be worse than this. Just go full original after the BDSM ball and make Legosi hunting Melon down like in a crime movie, building up a career as law enforcer under Yafya and being conflicted because of this guy and his radical methods and eventually opposing him, defeating Melon by his own methods and becoming a Beastar together with Louis for defeating that guy and Riz, sending some message about carnivore/herbivore cooperation and friendship or something. Whatever they do would be better than this.

She went full fucking retard when she made Legosi drop out of high school. Literally just keep him in high school and she could've kept the manga going.

Seeing him enter the world of adults was great imo. I loved his job chapters and him finding his shitty apartment and meeting his neighbours. This series was always a coming-of-age story so that was great, it went to absolute horse shit once Paru threw all of that away to turn it into some super power bizarro crime story with a psycho.

Just eat fish bro! Don't think about the fact we had a whole chapter about how fish live and order street food like every other animal in the setting, just eat them lol

BS was a SoL coming-of-age spiced up by some crime and societal problems done really well and Paru didn't do anything else during the fist arc. So why in the name of FUCK did she decide to turn it into a shounen all of a sudden?

I swear this is my number 1 problem with long running manga. EVERY damn series I like always reaches that one point at which the genre/demography complerely changes and I always ask myself "why didn't you just end it end start a new series if you want something completely different all of a sudden"?
This shit is a fucking curse and I can only pray that it won't happen with Shiori no Experience or Made in Abyss.

Funny how just a few years back I always said "thankfully it never happened to Vinland Saga, which is why it's the best long series so far".
