Why is a Frenchie better at writing manga than most of the authors in Japan currently?

It's because competently done Shonen is better than badly done Shonen.

Seth grows and develops his powers in a way that doesn't seem too much of an ass-pull and the volume schedules, while repeatedly screwed by Ankama, allows for the plot to flow better than a stop-start series of chapters.

What manga ?

Radiant

Radiant

But yeah, what user said above is true: it's easier to create a better plot when you don't have the popularity axe hanging above your neck starting from the third chapter

Because the nips are in general uncultured swine that don't know how to write for shit?
At least here in the west people actually go to school for this shit, and can write better prose than a middle schooler.

Because he's not selling them to the Japanese

The female lead is actually a proper character instead of cheerleaders like in shonenshit

because most Japs can't write

what series is this again? yu-no?

Radiant.

France has a very strong history of comics.

Not surprised, french is usually pretty good at animation/comic department.

Being able to focus on pacing for volumes instead of weekly chapters and not have to worry as much about the axe helps. Also, when does the next volume come out?

France and Belgium have a strong history of comics like Japan, but without the tendency for every retard to copy every other retard WITH A TWEEST.

Obviously there are similar stories in the Francosphere, but it's not like Japan where one trend like "I'm a 40 year old salaryman and now I'm a vending machine that gives fresh panties to dungeon-diving sluts who have to fuck monsters to death" isekai becomes the absolutely dominant paradigm because every retard feels the need to put his own spin on the idea no matter how banal.

Comparing the Franco-Belgian comics, American comics, webtoons and manga with each other, which one is the best one for creators? Which one give the creator most creative freedom, better working conditions, good for beginning writers, less nepotism etc.
I love manga but I get the impression the industry is pretty shitty especially with publishers like shonen jump like said.

The french scene used to be great but it kinda became too big too fast in the last two decades. Working conditions aren't great and a lot of authors are facing precarity. Creativity isn't great outside of some editors and self employed authors.
It still seems better than in the US or Japan at least.

maliki.com/en/strips/at-a-crossroads/

how does the manga compare to the anime? with which should i start?

The manga is french, the anime is japanese. Do what you want.

American comics seem better for work-life balance than Japan but at the expense of a much lower ceiling of success, with the rare exception of massive indie titles.

>Creative freedom
Jap
>Working con
Depends on publisher
>Beginner
Jap for the assistants role and doujin exposure
>Less nepotism
Jap

4/5 months I think. I vaguely remember January.

I can't imagine that the market for euro comics is that big in the west. I've been seeing more official translations but they don't seem to be hugely popular. At least cinebook stopped censoring tits.

It's manga. By far.

Euro comics ARE the west.

I generally prefer graphic novel releases over single chapter/issue releases. Artist/author can go back to their content time and time again before releasing the final product. I am not sure how it's for radiant however my example would be something like what drawn & quarterly releases. Also, all the weebs that only read manga, read some western comics as well. You'll find some great content even if they don't have same creative freedom as nip artists.

isn't this french Fairy Tail?

The main issue with western comics is that they're basically dead. Most of the best ones are from the 80's, 90's, or early 2000's. Most of the talented writers are roped into Hollywood. Comics just don't have the same pool of creative writers that they used to have, the industry can't compete with money and level of exposure Hollywood has to offer.

It's significantly better than Fairy Tail, but they really don't have anything in common besides magic.

The GOAT has always been a Frenchie.

Meh.

>mehing the guy who drew The Incal
Imagine having taste this bad

*In the English speaking world.

Thank god. Atleast one country in europoor that appreciates art.

Didn't care much for The Incal.

Are there good american comics ? I only know about the superheroes and virtue signaling ones.

Because he's a good writer. Simple as.

If he's good enough for the saltiest old butthole in anime, Hayao Miyazaki, then he's good enough for you. One of his daughters is named Nausicaa for fucks sake.
>Through Arzach, which dates from 1975, I believe. I only read it in 1980, and it was a big shock. Not only for me. All manga authors were shaken by this work. Unfortunately, when I discovered it, I already had a consolidated style so I couldn't use its influence to enrich my drawing. Even today, I think it has an awesome sense of space. I directed Nausicaä under Mœbius's influence.
Is what Miyazaki said about him. The dude had an enormous influence on the entire comic medium, and on science fiction as a whole.
