And Monogatari is my subtitling Moby-Dick, I think I'll end up learning Japanese myself to sub everything related to it in 10 to 15 years.

Oh, I've sifted through 5 translators over the last two years (and that's only counting those who've made meaningful contributions), Nisio's prose seriously drains people, one literally told me "I will die if I try to translate this." Plus my own free time is limited.
And actually yes, Monogatari fandom has a commentary translation project, a short stories translation project, and even Zaregoto fan-tl was recently picked up after like 5 years of hiatus, so it's pretty good to be a Nisio fan.
