Didn't they stop making these because of poor sales?

Man that logo is ass.

But I already watched this years ago.

>U N I R O N I C A L L Y buying anime

This movie has very few good aspects to it and I say that as a big Conan fan.

So they are forced to use "case closed" even if funimation has nothing to do with it?

It's too late to change it, it's the officially registered title of the series in that market.

*Today. Talk about a fast delivery, thanks whoever was on the ball this weekend.

I'll post about it like I did the Episode ONE bluray after dinner, but the main menu seems to be unique to this release and not, for instance, like this international version but with the logos moved down to make room for the Case Closed one (as all these releases' menus seem to use both Conan logos.)

Here's ours.

The cold open audio glitch when the reporter is talking about Edge of Ocean and her dialogue cuts off isn't in this version. However the script was unchanged for the introduction, Shinichi still says "while we were there, WE witnessed a dangerous deal", implying Ran saw the exchange too. Also, colored subs again just like Episode ONE. Seems if TMS still kept making those english logo animations for the films, they're not present here. I've seen nothing other than still-uses of the English logos on TMS' website after Movie 6 to imply they actually have animations to go with their international logos, but they did keep making them. A couple are just as shitty as the powerpoint gradient text of Timebombed Skyscraper, it's going to suck if we get those on Bluray covers. Most international releases including old Case Closed movies just used white text, Funimation probably realized how shitty those logos were an opted for plain text.

The shot of all the organization members during the opening that was cut for the SEA release is included here, with an uncut dialogue from Conan calling him by Bourbon. Guess the alcohol names was just a problem over there.

Does it have the gay scene?

I'll let you know when I get there. I just noticed another scene I didn't even realize had been cut in the leak, where Ran mentions maybe Kogoro got drunk and wandered into the building when the detectives are first checking his office.

This face but in bluray definition on my large TV.

Why buy a bad movie?

Conan cusses more in the Bluray, interesting.

It's not a 0/10. It's just not further than a 4/10.

Because they're probably not putting out the original six until maybe 2024 at this rate.

>Paying for anime
>Paying for dubs

Azusa talking to Amuro after he says she'll make someone a great wife one day was also cut short in the leak, I guess because she said "seducing". I didn't realize how many cuts there were outside of the car scene. There were a couple other changes earlier but I guess I'll mention those later.

First greentext aside, Japanese audio with english subtitles has been US release industry standard for a very long time.

You can blame battle shonen-esque western dubbing for that.

I think all of his cussing was cut from the Muslim release for a more family friendly version. I haven't compared Eng to Jap but I know Conan does cuss in the original every so often, it's notably missing in the muslim release. I don't think they're doing it where it wasn't normally there.

tfw no ai gf

lmao the muslim release, par for the course but i didn't notice before

Lots of suicide talk was reinstated.

Conan's mouth sync when chasing Kusakabe is still a problem.

blessed digits

>only one of the rum suspects will ever have an english voice

Yep. Expected as much but wanted to wait and see. They actually made it less gay though and I'm surprised, but proud.
>I hope you don't mind me asking but, do you have a girlfriend Mr Amuro?
>Actually, yes I do.
>It's my country.
The only reason this seems to have been cut either was because this audio was paired with the original Japanese which is more muddled about it, or just because lots of romance stuff in general was cut from the SEA release.

Amuro said yes to having a girlfriend? Holy shit.

Man I want a rough sex marathon with Kazuha

movie was kinda shit even though I like Barbon

Yep, because they translated lover as girlfriend but didn't change anything else. I can't believe they made it less gay and tried to save this movie. Conan asking that stupid gay question always pissed me off.

wait until Saturday

>>I hope you don't mind me asking but, do you have a girlfriend Mr Amuro?
>>Actually, yes I do.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

They also kept the M23 teaser at the end, which makes sense considering it was already dubbed but since it wasn't a special feature it made me wonder if it'd be included since they're theater-specific. I wonder if this means even older teasers may get dubbed. In the Extras section for the Bluray they have the Zero teaser where Japan's power goes out but it's only subbed, as are the rest of the promos. Anyway here's the voice cast. The credits were in normal Japanese and they just did a black scrolling after-film silent English cast version again instead of localizing the actual credits. Excluding the main cast which we knew already:
Yuya Kazami - Danny Boston
Kyoko Tachibana - Cherami Leigh
Fumikazu Haba - Sean Chiplock
Sayoko Iwai - Rachel Robinson
Makoto Kusakabe - Lex Lang
Eri - Jane Alan
Kuroba - Richard Epcar
Shiratori - Greg Chun
Chiba - Jason Charles Miller
Sato - Katelyn Gault
Midori - Julie Ann Taylor
News Anchor - D. Roy Bradley
Reporter - Julie Ann Taylor

That's more or less it. If you saw the leak, that version cut out a lot of stuff for varying reasons. Conan cusses more in this movie than I think he did in the entirety of the Funimation dub, kinda bizarre and I'm thinking now that not every instance of it was translating "kuso".
