So how do you machine translate?
Process each page with Abby Finereader Pro, then translate the text through Google and Bing? Or is there a more efficient way to do it?

My retarded way: whenever I encounter kanji I don't know, I broke it down into its radical and look it up on jisho. This way help you learn new vocab/kanji, and improve your skill at recognizing them. Never used OCR so I can't give advice.Also I only use machine TL if I don't know how to paraphrase it in English. DeepL is better though.

I really dig my translator. I think they're doing a bang up job and we work well together. I'm enjoying the manga as a workload too. It's cute and humorous. Also this is a better shift to something a bit easier than what I'm used to so I'm making progress on the scripts nicely. All in all a satisfying experience that I'm enjoying thoroughly.

Originally used Anime Ace on everything back in the day because that's what Pro Scanlators™ used, then got tired of it and avoided it entirely for a long time, and now I've gone back to look at old stuff and remembered that it's actually a decent lettering font. It's main flaw is that it's very wide and doesn't work in narrow bubbles.

Eh, I realise it's not popular generally (any more) but I don't only dislike it because it's cool to do so.
The letters are super wide like you mentioned, but since it's a font that's trying to deliberately imitate manga style it just feels "too much" for me. Chunky letters, massive swashes on letters like the E, unbalanced letter proportions like a really low crossbar on the A and a colossal head on the R. I much prefer less assertive and more understated fonts (although that is personal preference)
