Now that the dust has settled what did you think about it?
God of Highschool
I was told the fights were worth it but in the end those were badly animated. Since that is all it had going on for it I say it was shit.
read unordinary the webtoon with the most base MC ever
narrative clusterfuck that only had 2-3 hype fight scenes and the rest was garbage
bit of a letdown honestly
Fights were good. 2nd best anime of this season after Re:Zero. Also glad Jegal didn't get raped like in the webtoon.
The first episode was the only good episode
They rushed the shit of it. Cool fights, but man what a fucking mess.
A shame it wasn't 2-cour
this, next 13 episodes are way better than the first
more style then substance buts still fun
It was the most generic shit. The most generic shonen I've ever seen, just a big fucking tournament arc. It's sooo fucking SHITE.
Man, I've never seen a show drop from "hype of the season" to "ignored" so fast
As someone who never read a page of the webtoon, I was surprised at how quickly it nosedived. The first episode was a great introduction to the main characters; I was thinking this might be AOTY material. Then the next few episodes were meh, and then it went full shonenshit.
Disappointing. I've never read the Webtoon but apparently they adapted like 100 chapters into these 13 episodes and I feel that may have been for the worse. The fights are cool but they're hard to get into when I don't care about either combatant or why they're fighting. One of the fights was with this construction worker dude and gets his own flashback to show his motivation and I just couldn't care.
Fights were cool, rest of it I legitimately can't remember because it's such a clusterfuck
Unironically loved it. The chemistry between the cast actually felt genuine without cringy nip internal monologues about how much they love each other. They're just bros that like to hang out and you actually felt it. I prefer this kind of messy writing that clearly just wants to show you cool and engaging shit over hyperautistic nip shit like HxH. Sure, one clearly has more effort and thought put into the story and it's definitely more profound, but it doesn't have SOUL; the kind of chaotic energy that often characterizes life itself. Just my preference. My pretentious years of "NOOOO YOU HAVE A PLOTHOLERINOOOO SHIT WRITING!!!!!" """"criticism"""" are over. Now I just enjoy shit for what it is, and there's plenty of good to find in goh if you aren't autistic
Han Daewi's power is weak as fuck.
In that last fight nobody should be standing on their 2 feet but the monkey king.
It made no sense how the rest were capable of fighting as well with their weak power.
Based
>Han Daewi's power is weak as fuck.
laughs in webtoon
cant get over the character designs and never watched it. MC looks like shit
Episode 1 was a great introduction. Episode 2 & 3 were decent for world building and a few interesting moments and fights. Episode was trash.
Episode 5 was pure kino.
Episodes 6-9 were along the lines of episodes 2 & 3. Episodes 10 - 12 were almost always at edge of hitting the high parts of episode 5, but without proper investment in the characters, it just didn't hit as deep as with the two main protags.
Watching episode 13 tonight. The pacing is what held this back. Most obvious with how they have Han Daiwi take a back seat after episode 5. I remember one episode thinking "oh wow they're going to do this fight much later than I thought..." only for it to begin by the end of the episode. It moves crazy fast. But overall it's a fun ride with some really cool moments.
I loved the chaotic and fun vibe it had and stayed for it. The story I kinda get the gist of it but it was rushed obviously. Still just fun, hoping for season 2.
It was just Korean King of Fighters the anime.
Had a few cool fights. I really couldn't get invested into the story at all. Quite a forgettable show overall.
It was dogshit and forgettable
It's garbage, just like most of Manga and Manhwa nowadays
you have zero standards when it comes to anything and you will forget this show in a month.
Seething huntard lmao
HxH is bad, so you're going to need a better boogeyman than that.
Seemed like a mash up of shounen that may have been better off if it didn't start off with such an ordinary setting. I liked the main trio's relationship. None of the usual romance to awkwardly splinter the group.
Seething yourfavoriteanimetard lmao
For real though I feel like I made it clear as to why I liked the series. It's obviously flawed but ultimately what I value in a story was present here and far outweighed the negatives for me. Stop being a chinese cartoon elitist
Trash.
Generic shounenshit made by Koreans, only they managed to make it even more insufferable.
