STILL the greatest anime to date

Theyre just retellings of the two halves of the show but with chopped up pacing. Gurren-Hen is only good for its finale sequence, while Lagann-Hen manages to do much better job of condensing the show in two hours. The latter is leagues better than the first since they actually animated more than 10 minutes of new scenes so the pacing would flow much better. The ending is somewhat different and the final battle is done so much justice it blows the show out of the water. Its only real crime is ruining Kittan’s big moment and the Super Galaxy transformation. Worth a watch after you finish the anime

Watched it until the penultimate episode, got bored, and didn't bother watching the last one. No regrets.

First one is little more than a visual upgrade which is nice, the second one has a better final fight scene and looks better. So yes.

Lmao no. Only thing FLCL has over TTGL is the storytelling and humor. Visuals are arguably on par with early TTGL, but everything else FLCL does, TTGL does better.

Fuckers left out the Lordgenome fight, but otherwise it's a massive upgrade of the ending. Except for them nerfing Yoko's yokos in the topless scene, that is.

I know it gets memed on here to death and has very clear flaws I really really enjoyed Gurren Lagann. It's just fun and hype and keeps going more and more ridiculous from weak shit to planet busters to eventually galaxy/star system busters. It definitely would have gotten stale of it lasted any longer than it did. Not the greatest anime like OP is saying but really enjoyable dumb fun

they're actually the same show twice. an orphaned hero lost their parents to a big bad. They go on to fight 4 bosses to get to the big bad who reveals they're actually against the bigger bad in space. Throw in some themes of personal growth, believing in yourself and your friends, with a touch of fighting spirit. The End.
FLCL is great but I wouldn't say it shits on anything with how irrelevant and niche it is

TTGL is better than KLK I can't believe someone has taste this shit. Kill la kill isn't even anything special it just got meme'd to death on here and is the only reason anyone here cares about it. It "SAVED" anime according to KLK fans but in reality it was just an ok show
