You guys heard here first, not related to those above, quote me later, Tabata was planning a big arc for Black Clover, but was given till the end of the year to end the series.

There were some serious conflicts with his editor, Tabata was annoyed that he wasn´t allowed to have more drama or romance in the series but followed his editor advice, when the series started to slow down on sales, Tabata blamed his editor and that a big no no in Jump.

Also, the anime is not going to get renewed for now, this also had big impact on the decision.
