I lost interest in pretty much everything after getting into crypto, why?
I lost interest in pretty much everything after getting into crypto, why?
me 2 fren idk why
Because crypto has the potential to give you everything you are interested in. It's a perfect mental placeholder for the best version of everything you are interested in.
depression bro, wait for bullrun you will be super high like on cocaine. I mean that is if a bullrun ever comes
It is your hope for salvation. Once you reach your salvation you will regret the time spent obsessing over currency. I am also going through the same problem right now. I should not be checking prices, I should be living. I am an addict.
Yeah same actually.
I guess it just scratches that itch that gacha and trading card games have me. Gambling on gains vs lucky pulls is so much better for my wallet
A hobby that makes you money and is interesting from a technical standpoint is helpful. I took so many online classes on crypto and trading and could never muster the willpower to do that for anything else in my free time
same, though it was a slow process for me, about 3 years.
same here, crypto fill the gap in my life. Nothing else matters.
Bc you're always just 1 to 3 trades away from making it for good and even one okay trade away from at least being set for a couple years while you try again
it dwarfs a lot of stuff
its called becoming a degenerate gambler.
My biggest fear is what if I don't enjoy the things I used to love anymore
What's the point of having money then
Same here. I used to play Dota and PoE almost 12 hours a day and for the past two months, 7 hours /played.
Any scientific explanation to this?
don't worry fren, i imagine once you make it and the need to chase money wanes, you will start expanding into your hobbies again. if you make it...
Well that sounds like a massive waste of a life anyway, so no big deal.
What’s your portfolio look like?
My god, from 12 hours to 7 hours. You went from 'hopeless' to 'addicted'
I can see how my sentence could be misread.
I meant 7 hours /played total past 2 months.
This is what 24-7 volatility, money printing, and trading will do to you.
If you just hold long term without intention to sell, you won’t have this feeling.
If you just got into position recently looking to exit.. then you will have traits of a Las Vegas gambler who’s looking to get rich quick.
Lets say you make it...
What will you do with your new found cash money?
What hobbies do you want to take on, where do you want to live? What do you want to do...
Outside of Crypto what are you doing to move towards your goals?
I'm sure these thoughts will be nothing to many, but it's easy to lose sight of what you want when the lottery appears to be in your favor.
Crypto forces you to look into reality.

Oh, my mistake. I think that is probably because you want to stay up to date on every development so that you can monitor your investments. Things move quickly in crypto, and with the volatility you have to watch closely and be ready to buy or sell at a moment's notice. It requires a lot of attention if you are in the position as described perfectly.
This is the hardest thing to do.
At least you can look at numbers to see how far you are from your goal of making it and it's easy to recognize mistakes which lower your amount of cash.
It's impossible to tell if you are going in the right direction and doing what you really want.
With money it's easier to make bigger mistakes and spend more time on the wrong path.
The thing is I’ve already technically made it for where I live.
And I have no answers to all 3 of your questions.
It’s like I forgot why I started doing this.
Money wasn’t an incentive for me because I lived comfy just by freelancing.
All I did was play these addicting f2p games which satiated my dopamine levels daily.
I hold from 2017 and I don't feel anything anymore. Never cash out but plan to sell the next bull run.
I think most 2017 bagholders feel the same hence we’re seeing constant big dumps at key support levels.
Start a family
In my situation I don't want to put any amount sum towards something I haven't already tested or tried. Just because I have money doesn't mean I want to waste it by throwing it at the wall to see if it sticks.
Fuck those games lol. The power struggle is a real thing, even if it is self-inflicted. What are you fighting for?
based
It's the same for me.
My current issue is to find out where I want to live and what life I want to have.
I have not been living my life in these last 10 years I spent in Germany outside of my home country.
But my home country is completely fucked and the first thing a millionaire do there is to leave it...
Even if I went back I have always been an outsider and have gotten better treatment in Germany.
I can't expect a normal social life after making it anyway, it changed me so much.
This is some kind of monkey paw wish level of making it.
it's not crypto its Zig Forums unironically
