How is this even considered a good harem show?
There's no beach episode, the characters never go to a summer festival or a culture festival, and some tsundere girl is with the mc from the get go.
This is a more like a mockery of harem shows if you ask me.
Monogatari
Why would you want generic harem #32687453245 when you can have this neat story about monster girls?
For me, it's Tsukihi
You know what fucks me up good? Finding out that when Izuko Gaen and Jun Aikawa meet eachother, they get along like they're best friends.
Imagine the foursome
crossovers are not canon though
>This is a more like a mockery of harem shows if you ask me.
but that was exactly the point, if you ask me.
t. reverse psychology OP who is butthurt about his garbage anime being haremshit so he starts this thread claiming to be mad about it somehow not being a 'real' harem show when it clearly is
>Tsubasa Lion isn't canon
Also it's the only time they're going to meet eachother so it can be safely presumed unless stated otherwise than that is how they would act.
Is Tsubasa Lion the one where she's in Europe?
I get all of the newer entries confused.
that would be tsubasa sleeping and it's not a crossover, it's one of the off-season books
Nah Tsubasa Lion is the crossover with March comes in like a Lion which is set during the same time period as Tsubasa's trip to Europe but it's basically her going to a Shogi Hall during her world travels to find Oshino with the suspicious reasoning of "Oshino played a lot of Shogi during his university days" which I fail to see how the fuck she would know that unless Araragi explicitly went to Hanekawa "Yo, I was nearly ass-raped by a woman in high heels and she mentioned that she played Shogi with Oshino and Kaiki back in University for the Occult Research Club." but that seems really odd information to give Hanekawa out of the blue unless he 1-to-1 recounts everything that happens to him.
Ultimately Tsubasa Lion was just NisiO's excuse to stretch his Shogi boner as Monogatari isn't his first work to make use of it.
there's always going to be some anons who just can't watch Monogatari, I get it though, but just stick to what you can watch.
I've watched it all about 3 times. Probably gonna do it all again soon.
based, same
which arc was best?
I've spent the last tn minutes trying to decide and I can't. I can tell you, however, who best girl is.
those type of digits indicate something
Trips mean I spoke nothing but the truth user
Do 500 year old vampires really like little boys this much?
Not all of them.
Fuck, this is actually a really hard question
I feel Hana is up there for how experimental the storytelling was
When watched after the rest of second season it's straight kino.
You have good taste user.
That doesn't save Rouka and her monologue from being doshit though.
imagine hating any character voiced by kana Asumi
I'm not a blind VA worshipper so I can actually judge characters based on how good they are.
I've been reading the novels for what I've seen as I'm in need of a refresher, seen through Neko. I'm super stoked to start watching 2nd season, I've heard nothing but great things.
The Vertical releases are super nice, been having a real good time reading them.
Care to explain?
I don't wanna start a discussion i'm just being curious
Second season is great, but it will be even better on a second watch/read due to the fact that it begins to really play with the chronology.
>Vertical is nearly at the point where Owari 3 and Zokuowari are going to be out by March next year (presuming nothing goes wrong)
>If SHAFT doesn't release anything soon then the english novels may overtake the anime
What a timeline to live in.
Also watch or read Hana last. It works better for the season's flow.
I plan to read the novels after watching, with the exception of Kizu since I already own it and I might as well stick to book order as I read.
I'm going release order so wouldn't that make it last to begin with?
Her entire philosophy of "just ignore your problems until you don't care" is retarded and she completely lacks the signature Monogatari wit and charm and we're generally not given any reason to care about her so when she basically monologues for 2 episodes straight it's dull as fuck.
>user seethes over Rouka where if he took her advice and just stopped caring then his problem would be solved
Not that user but you could actually do with following her advice on this one.
sounds like you already know what you're doing, good on you based user
You're the one getting butthurt about Rouka m8.
