Yugami vs Oregairu - Which series is better?

With the end of Oregairu anime, this means the character arc of Hachiman is over.

Yugami and Hachiman seems to always be compared as loners but which series did you enjoy more? Which had the better girls, story, ending?

For me, all the above has to be Yugami.

Yagami is better i don't even need to watch/read Ore to be certain of that.

Yugami is way better. Oregairu is just a mediocre harem melodrama.

Yugami by far.

No one here to defend Oregairu?

I'll just say that the Yugami-Chihiro relationship is one of the best I've ever read and seeing all the Yui fans being upset amuses me because I can't imagine being invested in a Oregairu ship.

Also Chihiro should be a shining example on how to write a good girl in manga, unlike Yui

Both of them have different things to say; one is just your standard tale of the social recluse opening up and learning he doesn't have to be so self sacrificial (while dunking on mr popular), while the other is just a stubborn guy who learns to be a little less stubborn (and mostly just dunks on the rest of the school). The only thing that connects them is how annoyingly unsubtle the narrative is in making its heroine clear (every single "they basically act like me and grandpa" scene, hachiman's inner monologues in the LN) and the fact that they say they don't need anybody.

yugami is one of the greatest stories in manga
oregairu is childish and mediocre

comparing shitty harem with a masterpiece

Chihiro too cute

Let's be honest, an open ended ending is pretty cliche in itself. Now this is a real masterpiece ending.

Yugami, without doubts.
>an open ended ending
What?

A non conclusive ending

You know yugami doesn't end at chapter 80, right?

Chapter 81 is still non-conclusive.

It's not an open ending at all.

Just because they don't kiss, doesn't mean it's an open ending.

There's are still open questions, though:
Will their first end with Yugami sperging about rakugo right after it?
How weird will be the wedding?
How many kids will they have?

I despise open endings. Oregairu is better

Imagine being dumb enough to think this is an open ending.

How is yugami's end open? There's nothing open about it

i love my wife chihiro

yugami, no question

if it's just 3 people it's a love triangle not a harem

I didnt watch Oregairu so I'll pick the smug machine that is yugami

>yugami v oregairu
These stories are nothing alike.

I like Oregairu and I think most of the complaints against it are just the usual Zig Forumsnon shitposting popular things.

But Yugami is better.

Oregairu
I like social outcast edgy male characters

Yugami is overrated

Yugami easily. There's only so much melodrama you can take before you stop caring.

Chihiro alone is better than all oregairu love interests.

Oregairu started as a literally me and we live in a society story.
