So I"ve finished Part 7. Easily the best part in the franchise.
What can I say?
I loved it. Every single moment. Every character was so perfectly written, each bringing their own made SBR the masterpiece it is. Despite the slow setup of SBR"s premise, I soon found myself spiraling deep down the rabbit hole, and fell madly, passionately, and irreversibly in love. The worldbuilding was immaculate. The grungy, crazy world of SBR was just irresistible. I was so deeply immersed in the AU America and I was stunned.
The fact that it"s not a traditional Good vs Evil story is just astounding. Johnny wants the corpse to heal his legs (selfish but relatable) and Valentine wants to make America great (selfless but not so relatable). So vivacious in their own right. It was absolutely incredible how all the minor antagonists were also protagonists of their own story. Hot Pants" road to redemption. Mountain Tim"s righteousness. Diego"s will to avenge his mother and rise above man. Valentine"s goals as the main villain, that were objectively MULTITUDES more justified and righteous than the main protagonist"s. His lack of that "evil" quality in him, that had caused many villains before to be so one-dimensional (Dio, Kira, Diavolo lol), just made him comparatively layered, just like the dimensions he can escape to. So deliciously compelling.
A beautiful, magical rollercoaster. a spectacular journey. One I never DREAMED was possible. Johnny and Gyro"s dynamic FAR surpasses that of a teacher-student one, or even a typical JoBro relationship. They bring out the best in each other, Gyro helps Johnny rehabilitate his legs through the art of Spin, and Johnny helps Gyro discover his own weaknesses. And their mundane interactions are just stunning.
SBR just hits differently. The familial themes that run throughout, about family not always being what you deserve (Dario Brando, the "god took the wrong son" motif) just resonates with me on a molecular, spiritual level.
Tusks growth mirroring Johnny's emotional growth with only Gyro's death making him reach his maximum potential was kino

The best part of the [Stone Ocean anime] being announced is that we're one part closer to SBR being animated

I can't believe people are still replying to this pasta review seriously

A time ago i saw the first thread about part 7 finale, it was funny to see how people reacted.

I wish I’d saved more of the old Jojo forum before it vanished.
So we're 60% certain that Italy is going to be featured in part 9 but I think I've worked out how it is going to be featured. The Venice Regatta race will probably be a huge part of it like how the horse race was the main feature in SBR
It was the most fun I had reading part 7 because it became bizarre again. Uptil that point, Part 7 felt really mundane compared to part 6.

You didn't like Catch the Rainbow? I thought that was great two parter.
Tyler Baker
I like part 3 and 6

Good taste

The High Voltage arc is the worst arc in Part 7, I wished it was cut entirely because the Love Train arc already felt like a great finale to the Part.

>He wanted the part to end without a conclusion to Lucy's arc, Johnny and Diego's rivalry, and Johnny and his father's relationship
Luis Green
>Johnny and Diego's rivalry Literally not even the same character
Julian Kelly
Yes, minus the Lucy’s arc. There’s no undoing with what Johnny’s dad did to his son, that whole public speech about him being remorseful about his actions was so half-assed and unnecessary it may as well not even exist. Johnny does grow from his trauma as the story progresses, especially after the Civil War arc, with his father being a non-factor to his growth. Diego in the High Voltage arc isn’t even the same Diego. It’s just Part 3 Dio masquerading as Diego, if anything.
Jaxson Johnson
Not to mention seeing Johnny lose a battle even after Tusk reaches its final form.

>Scarface I always thought of Phantom Blood as Araki's Dracula, yes, but Vento Aureo as The Usual Suspects. Also Jojolion is literally The Bourne (Joestar) Identity.
Leo Morales
Phantom Blood reminds me of a novel called Varney the Vampire rather than Dracula but I can see where Dracula comparisons come from considering both have main characters named Jonathan.
