In terms of sales, definitely. But story-wise, there’s almost nothing resembling AA. Except some cheap-ass acting panels we get every 5 chapters or so of the mc that by no mean can compare to Usazaki’s illustration. Everyone having read 20 chapters of AA knows it.

Do we have a yardstick for how well series are doing in terms of tanks under each publisher? Like how low do your tank sales have to be to get axed on volume 1 under JUMP as opposed to Sunday and your typical monthly series?

Depends on a variety of factors, including genre, what else is running in the magazine, expectations from previous work and so on. Needless to say Oshi no Ko is a success but even if it wasn't, Young Jump is full of new series and they would have give Aka some slack because of the success of Kaguya anyway
