yes, even uncompressed 1080p episodes take like 4 minutes on 100 Mbit fiber, not to mention 10 Gbit fiber is affordable in first world countries and would let you fetch entire seasons while taking a shit.
Then once you have your file you can use a combination of MPC-HC, MadVR and Lavfilter to get unrivaled playback quality, not even mpv has caught up to that holy trinity yet. Unless your GPU is at 40% load rendering each frame of your anime then you're missing the fuck out or you are poor, and missing the fuck out..
