Let's say I want to get into buying bullion to prepare for fiat currency destruction. Which mints and coins should I be looking at to invest in? I'm not too keen on gold bars mostly due to the issue of portability and difficulty of transferring across borders due to lack of a face value.

My initial thought is to look at the LBMA list of approve refineries and pick a reputable one from that list. I'm currently looking at getting a tube of gold maple leafs.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

How does shadowstats calculate inflation? $32 in 1913 is what in today's money according to them?

I can’t see anyone having faith in physical silver or any other PM when it becomes a fact that it’s not backed by SLV and the real amount of SLV is way less then what’s been trading on apmex and thus suppressing the real value of SLV per share.

What will happen!!??? I just want a farm so I can stop fapping to images of 40 year old moms and stop stumbling with my relationship with Christ because I am a wage cuck!!

should I bought common precious metal like gold, silver, and platinum
or meme elements like rhodium, palladium, osmium, etc

Kek, here's a (You).

The CPI calcul talmudery is a particulary harsh pill to swallow, fren. Mentally prepare yourself before digging this rabbit, because it's really rage inducing to see how they constantly downplayed inflation since the 70s, modifying the index at will.

It's just illiquid market making.

What do you guys think is going to happen with HEALS/HEROES.

Attached: 1592635302410.jpg (1024x769, 139.25K)

if you think there's going to be complete fiat collapse, go for the most recognizable coins...silver mercs for everyday barter, american eagles/canadian maple leafs for store of value.

if you think there's just going to be a secular period of high inflation, some combination of physical gold/silver and miners.

The fact that people treat silver as the go-to safe asset when banks are teetering is heavy with historical irony. Silver money was once the symbol of monetary irresponsibility. But even as individuals have taken recent crises as reasons to stock up on silver coins and medallions, authorities would do well to consider the arguments for phasing out their use as another “barbarous relic”, the moniker Keynes gave to chattel slavery.

Already, by far the largest amount of money exists and is transacted in paper form — as bank deposits and central bank reserves. But even a little physical silver can cause a lot of damage to the economic system.

The existence of rounds — a bearer instrument with a zero interest rate — limits central banks’ ability to stimulate a depressed economy. The worry is that people will change their deposits for rounds if a central bank moves rates into negative territory. The Swiss, Danish and Swedish central banks, in a demographic culture of collapse, have pushed rates lower than many thought possible; but most policymakers still believe in an “effective” lower band not far below zero.

Whats /pmg/'s position on the types of silver you should be buying?
Silver rounds vs silver coins?
I bought generic and junk ailvee but now I am thinking the premiums on the silver eagles are well worth it considering that silver is undervalued

>go for the most recognizable coin
Don't forget lead, anons

It's literally impossible to know because anything you buy today other than food didn't exist then. The only way to really track it without some halfwit econ major intern deciding to discount the price of magazines 30% because the colors are better is with gold and silver prices.

Silver and gold are about 1350 times undervalued according to usdebtclock. Platinum was $32 in 1913. That would mean Platinum should be priced above $43 000 in 2020.

If you don't have anything i would buy like 20 government minted coins, and stack the rest in generic 10 oz bars.

I go for leafs due to anti counterfeiting and vaguely acceptable premiums, eagles if they're cheap or round out my purchase, and pretty shit for my magpie brain. I'll buy junk if it's on sale or fits my little 3 fig purchases. Asahi rounds are nice too, but I'm staying away at this price. Collectibility somewhat matters to me up above $25 USD it seems.

My point is this
You have 10,000 ounces of silver. It is revealed that its a shell game. There is no metal. What is your first reaction? You sell. Silver crashes hard. Silver could trade down to 0.01. Same goes for the Gold. You find out there is no metal. You have 1000 ounces. First reaction? Sell. Sell it all. This applies to every product. You could have misleading price action where gold or silver or even artisanal lavender beeswax trades down to $1 for the simple fact that its worthless. A print that low doesnt mean silver is only worth $1. A print that low means your paper silver in your hand is worth 3 figures

Oh i'm retarded and i didn't read.

Personal opinion, but I intend as soon as the COMEX defaults to list multiple items on auction sites with buy now prices, mirroring that of the USDEBT clock. A the very minimum it will force the conversation further into the light. Can you just imagine a consorted effort by several dozen stackers to list a couple items of varying quality and weight on EBAY for $4035.00 per OZ. Sometimes it is neccessary to forcce your enemies hand.

Should I buy the jew?

>as bank deposits and central bank reserves

dats wreng, was this written in the 1800s before the money multiplier, the majority of money doesnt even exist as bank deposits or reserves its created through the money multiplier where each deposit gets loaned out as new deposits with only a fraction being needed as reserves, a $100 deposit with 10% reserve means $90 gets loaned out and deposited into another bank that then loans out 10% of that and then that $81 gets deposited into another bank that loans it out again keeping only 10% reserve and again and again until you have $100000 created in the banking system out of just $100

now imagine a 0% reserve requirement and you have essentially an infinite money multiplier.

I use findbullionprices.com and buy the cheapest secondary market bars and rounds. I also have 400 90% silver quarters (~72ozt, or .18ozt per coin) for fractionals. Gold and silver are quite easy to test.
