Which one made a better transition from protagonist to secondary character, Joseph or Jotaro?

Jotaro didn't even feel like the MC of his part

jotaro was pure art In SO
Joseph was the cutest thing in SDC

Jotaro
MC -> Secondary MC -> father of MC and acted like one.

Joseph was a good MC, and a good secondary character, so there's hardly a change. Jotaro, however, was bland as fuck as an MC, and much more interesting as a secondary character in SO.

>much more interesting as a secondary character in DiU.
ftfy

I like cool old men characters (nohomo), so Joseph of course.

Jotaro, through the corse of the 3 parts he's in, goes through the most character development of anyone in the series. Joseph is a plot device who was 3 different people in the parts he was featured in.

Joseph, of course.

Jotaro felt more like a plot device in later parts, one that Araki constantly needed to work around because he was too overpowered. Joseph turned into a completely different character, but he was still a character.

Jotaro. Joseph felt like a device in later parts and his character was assassinated for it.

Jotaro was the same person slowly maturing throughout parts 3, 4 and 6
Joseph from Part 3 has nothing to do with Joseph from Part 2 except the name

I get why Joseph would change so much; age does that to a lot of people. And even then, there were still traces of his old persona sprinkled now and there, such as that infamous scene in which Joseph decides to prank Jotaro right after coming back to life.

>And even then, there were still traces of his old persona sprinkled now and there
That time when he turned around the fight on empress and said: “your next line is“

Man, I wished he had done that more often. I never got tired of that gag; I was very happy that it got referenced in SDC.

He was but only because he always got the final fight of the episodes. He was otherwise charisma mogged by Joseph.

They were both perfect characters through and through.

I think it was done an appropriate amount - he had remnants of his teenage self, but all those decades later he was mostly a different man with his youth shining out at moments.

Jotaro, even if Araki had to nerf him or otherwise work around him. Grandpa Joseph wasn't bad but I wish he had more fights.

It makes sense though. If someone doesn't change at all for decades despite getting married and having a family thrn there's probably something wrong with them.
Gotta admit I still prefer young Joseph though

polnareff and kakyoin feel like the MCs of part 3 honestly

Kakyoin was for the first half until he gets injured at the start of egypt while Polnareff was more consistent and had his dynamic with Avdol and Iggy to work with him.
It sucks that Kakyoin was shafted for so long

At least he didn't get it as bad as Avdol.
I think that Araki didn't know how to write 5 humans at once.

Jotaro, no. Joseph, yes, because he at least did get shafted to the sidelines. I wouldn't be surprised if SDC came back in the new verse to remind us that the "real MC" still exists.

>Puts Jotaro in a coma for almost all of Part 6
Bravo Araki

I hated his new design in stone ocean, I couldn't believe it was really Jotaro. I mean what image would one have if you read it the first time? then again, i noticed Arakis style isn't for me anymore, stories also got very weird. I quit during steel ball, I always fell asleep in the same chapter, it's just so boring if followed after stone ocean.
well can't help it, I'm happy for other anons who enjoyed reading it live and cursing shit quality scans, but I feel ya, was the same with berserk for me.

>jotaro was pure art in shit ocean
no

cope

Lmao, if anything, Jotaro was the MC of the part 3 & 4.

He's the MC in DiU too.

Im mad excited for the Jolyne v. Pucci fight at the space center when Za Warudo activates. That scene was distilled hype.

Joseph
Jotaro is too overpowered, even in secondary position.

>He was otherwise charisma mogged by Joseph.
That's a weird way to spell Polnareff.
