NTR

Reading a variety of Shoujo, Seinen, Josei, and even Shounen, many of them utilize NTR when it comes to their romance, and it comes in all kinds of ways and shapes that it's rather startling to see. Is it really hard to portray romance without the drama of NTR bait?

How else would they make forced drama? It’s easy and baits readers every time.

>Is it really hard to portray romance without the drama of NTR bait?
I mean, this shit happens in real life and the authors are trying to portray that. Not everything has to be a power fantasy or a wish fulfillment.

The girl must be so shit that no one but the MC likes them

this shit is just as bad. a cheap go-to for melodrama while dancing around the other problems relationships face. transparent when they laser focus on the cheating and ntr bait instead of the circumstances that bring it about

More often than not, the “NTR” is just a person feeling entitled to another person’s love and nothing more. The romance is just in that person’s head.

>entitled
Go back

Kissxsis has a lot of scenes that could techinally count as NTR.

>not getting caught two-timing
weak drama

Stop posting. One is good enough.

no, OP needs multiple posts to break in that they're mental toddlers

I don't read romance manga but I like how most romance manga seems to use NTR on a constantly basis because it makes romance manga readers mad.

Not that, user, but how else are you going to explain it? Half the time, the dialogue is almost incel-tier.

That's literally porn. They have to tell the whole story in 24 pages or less.

>liking a girl romantically makes you an incel
Whatever

No, but getting angry at them for not picking you is pretty shitty thing to do.

>girl you like and bonded with fucks another guy
>you have a negative emotional response
WOOOOOOOOW. That's so werid. Yeah, I bet only incels do it

That’s because those series are written by women, adult men don’t like romance. Which explains why romance in shouted falls flat.

We like romance. We just don't like watching someone else's romance.

The term is misused often though, like with Erased. The protagonist's childhood friend marrying someone as an adult is not the protagonist getting cucked unless the protagonist is deeply in love with said friend.

Is this not NTR then?

No, the author was and still a hack for not letting the MC and Rui be together.

>the author is a hack for NTR'ing the heroine but it's not NTR
wat

>I bet only incels do it
Yes

Sauce

No, this is just fucking retarded and a shit ending.

It's a shit way to crate tension and drama in the romance by risking that they could be taken by another.
I'm so sick of it, every romance I see seems to have elements of this, even the SoL ones.

The real answer why it's not NTR is because it's a tragic ending. It's a happy ending with the wedding but there's a tragic backstory to it.
