>GOOOLLLDEN SLUMBERS FILL YOUR EYES~
>SMIIIIILLES AWAIT YOU WHEN YOU RISE!

>SLEEP PRETTY DARLING, DO NOT CRY.
And I will sing a lullaby-ee~

This is easily the most overrated garbage anime I've ever watched

>not a fag like Vicious
>badass
>Faye totally wanted to get raped by him
>veteran
>gives his ex PTSD so severe she becomes muslim

Yes, stop pretending otherwise.

She was a random sad bitch for one episode, Faye is an actual character. I like her design though.

And Spike had a better final fight with him than with Vicious.

Word of God is yes.

Hot as sht, sad that this scene didn't go on for longer.

Literally not even real.

He survived and and fought an Isekai deity fused with Super AI after that

the movie is so much better than 90% of the show.

The director actually said he was surprised that all westerners assumed Spike was dead and said he could be sleeping

The series started with Spike dying. The series itself it a metaphor for Spike lying in limbo or purgatory, addressing his remaining regrets and attachments to worldly life. His friends, loved ones, bloodlust, revenge, dread of something other than familiar existence (the hyperspace accident episode), drugs and the like. Once Spike has symbolically conquered all of them he is finally free to pass on in peace.
This interpretation is made quite self-evident with Spike parting with his crew members as the end of the series approaches.

I don't believe you.

Sad we never got to see her titties.

He did.

kek

the space cowboy was the friends we made along the way

>mfw the only reason the Cowboy Bebop movie hasn't entered cult-status is because of 911

yep i agree with this dude. The finality of the series doesn't really rely on spike living or dying. The entire series is just a mashup of different stories each reaching their own conclusion in their own ways. In the final "story", Spike gets his conclusion by finally coming to face his past, his fears, and his regrets. It's more obvious when he makes that statement of "one eye is always looking at the past".

I forgot since its been so damn long since I've seen the movie and the series, but I'm pretty sure that they address it in the movie in some way though and it's not an easter egg or something small. I think the conclusion is that Spike is in a dream or sleeping

Loli Faye in Singapore!

Nah, it's the anime series that is a cult. Movie would have never topped it or reached that status anyway.

It’s true. I believe he died physically but it is an ambiguous ending.
