why did all anime become shit after 2010?
Why did all anime become shit after 2010?
Because you spoiled it for yourself watching hackneyed garbage like Shit Fart Online. My god you need to an hero.
nah nigga ur just a faggot
After 2010 plus 3 months*
yes.
>why did anime become shit after [year my childhood ended]
Japan trying to create anime that fit into precise genres to appease fans instead of making an anime and figuring it out later. The trend of anime going to shit parallels the rise of Otaku culture in the mid to late 90s. As animes began pandering to thee folk the quality dropped
NWO psyops.
I know a lot of people will claim "its always been shit" and other such things.
But I'd disagree, there's been a large shift in focus to a different type of story. Rather than having a self contained story with an end goal in mind, modern anime has changed into more vague undetermined stories with no real goal or end point in sight. This isn't just in terms of bleach or other shounen continuation, but take your general isekai vs a fantasy story. Isekai has no end point, its essentially power fantasy slice of life, they do a few things and there's a general direction, but for the most part its going to keep going as long as the author wants it to go on. And it'll shift "goals" whenever the author loses interest in the current one or audience starts begging for a shift.
Its why people argue that the first season of SAO was "good" but it turned to shit. First season of SAO was a self contained story, it had a goal and an end in mind, once they broke out of VR the story was done. And then it was forced to continue and now its in the loop of endless story telling until it stops making money.
And frankly, its hard to care about or get invested in a story without goals or an end. It doesn't need to be a concrete goal, but there needs to be something to drive the story forward and make progress.
Modern anime has done away with the idea of a "story" and has changed to stories that focus on arcs instead. (and if they're just ripping of a LN that's usually the case, and it makes the anime worse because we know there's only going to be 1-2 seasons as a glorified advertisement for the LN which leads to a shitty and unfulfilling anime)
And this is why Yuri is the sole bastion of anime.
I prefer yuri (male)
yuri (male) is good on occasion, but it occasionally falls in to the same issues, so for now I've put that on ice.
>Watching anything with female bitches and whores
manga has gotten way better since 2010

I agree wholehartedly, user.
In fact, this is the same problem that has plagued tv series for decades. You can always tell the good ones from the bad ones by the simple fact that they don't drag and have a clear ending planned from the start. As long as these neverending stories keep getting produced the overall quality of anime will remain awful.
You stopped watching anime in 2010. That's why.
I can't take the opinions of posters here seriously. It's already revealed that half of you watch shows on streams, and many of you watch shows on your phones. You know you people can get a TV for less than $100?
>And this is why Yuri is the sole bastion of anime.
eh it´s stale but the dark age is long over for all we know.
i think we will never reach the highs of 80s to mid 00s
but we will never be so low as the years from the mid 00s to mid 10s.
>remove isekai
>remove haremshit
>remove SoL
would instantly make anime better.
>shit after 2010s
sort of? the industry fully recovered from the economic crash of the 90s in asia around 07-08. this meant there was more money to go towards otaku-bait and other lowest common denominator garbage. then there’s also the fact that streaming was fully taking off in the west which made anime much more easier to access. as with anything niche entertainment that goes mainstream, it’s success usually kills itself via over “normie-fication,” eg TCGs, D&D, vidya, the internet, and my favorite example: foreign foods that become trendy in LA. fuck me, i sound like an ultra-contrarian hipster.
regardless anime and manga have always been the only alternative towards western animation/cartoons and comics/graphic novels but both of those are becoming more and more generic and cash grabby.
>foreign foods that become trendy in LA
Nah I see that here in PA too. I've dated/now married a girl from Japan and we do a lot of our shopping at the local Japanese Grocery. Over the past 3 or so years we've noticed a ton more weebs and shit in the store, and now the store is starting to carry lowest common denominator shit (Like tons of snacks and drinks) over actual useful stuff
there’s a korean market near me that i frequent a lot, i cook for my elderly asian neighbor after her son committed suicide 3 years ago. i feel so self conscious shopping there because im the only white person there whenever i run errands for her and everyone there looks at me like im some fuckwad weeb.
do you at least get to fuck her?
user im married plus shes over 60.
slice of life and normies
pic unrelated
As long as your not filling your cart with fucking chips/ramen blocks/drinks they probably know your not just a weeb
the bubble popped around 2016 for me
i buy instant udon, but that’s only because my kids ask for it. still it makes me mom’s spaghetti levels of self-conscious.
It didn't. you just got old and cynical.
