Nice, Ninja Scroll looked great as well.
Interesting topic
I still gotta learn about specific animators instead of just studio this and that though
Think these are atomically correct? The Lemnear one seems simplified, I don't really see all or any of the hand bones.
Battle Royal HS looks like it got it right.
>Think these are atomically correct
i dunno openheimmer
If you stop the video and watch frame by frame you can see the finger bones.
It looks like whoever animated it screwed up with the length of the forearm and just transitioned it into the hand. Still looks amazing and considering the character is a transforming magical monster anyways so it doesn't really matter.
Is the TV series any good? Downloading the 1993 movie rn.
I guess OP is right, great fight scene but the rest of the movie is pretty bland.
This scene is such a bliss to watch, can't count how many times I've watched that part of the episode.
It's such a great example for how valuable good timing is for satisfying animation. The music and sound effects do their parts too of course.
Not enough people throw dragons these days
Stock animation you can hear.
That's satisfying af to watch
Has any anime used this technique of painting 3D CGI by hand like Disney did with Tarzan? I think one big reason CGI in anime looks so bad is that the colors/textures are flat.
Pretty much, at this point they could have just used a 3d grid as reference for drawing the ground at all angles the camera spins around
Considering the ground is really simple in the first place a smarter storyboarder could have figured out camera turns that wouldn't require as many drawings
Or maybe crappy CGI exists due to crappy producers, who usually aren't artists
The reason cgi looks shit in anime is the same reason Disney figured out in the 80's, synching a pan or a track between hand drawn 2d and 3d assets is really fucking hard.
I can mostly ignore Japan's ps2 textures.
Holy fuck

Posting the most well-animated opening this season so far.
Ummmm...Noellebros???
I always feel blueballed when really cool animation turns out to just be from a music video about some depressed guy. genius party got with that way too.
Mah is a fucking god. He can compose, too.

I always remember this OVA for that scene where the fat guy gropes Lemnear.
