I liked it up to the end of farmland. I like very few things after that, like i liked Hild and i guess the Floki thing was ok albeit a tad anti climatic. I can´t say i care much for the current arc. I mean, avoiding conflict is good and all but conflict should still find Thorfin and he should still fight because only that will put his beliefs to the test. If he is not pushed nothing will happen... i don´t think either Gurrid or Einar have ever seen how actually dangerous Thorfinn can be.

It's one of the worst examples of a manga where the first arc is clearly all laid out in rough format so the author puts together something wonderfully holistic...then he runs out of his initially conceived material.
The only thing this manga has figured out about what it wants to be after the prologue is anachronistic pacifism as a theme and I suspect the ultimate tragic climax of Thorfinn realizing even at the end of the world there's no Utopia. Fine. But it has no plan on how to develop to that point. It's theme without plot.

Maybe the author will figure it out. Plenty of time now a days with covid.
