Masculine as the main protagonist is an adult male and does manly things. It seems what is overwhelmingly popular now is school girl anime.
I know about One Puch Man and One Piece, but both those shows kinda sucked for me. I don't care for that new DBZ as the original DBZ should have ended with Goku dying to Freiza.
Shit, I don't know who that even is. I think I only watched 10 episodes of this show. I posted this as the hugest example of masculine anime I could think of.

yeah it came and went. the reason why masculine anime came to be was bc japan in the 80s had a high crime rate so people turned to media that had triumphant heroes that turned them away from the evil outside. now that japan's crime rate are fine, there's really no need for masculine shows to exist.

That's a weird reason for it disappearing. Westerners watch fantasy movies about wizards and goblins despite not living in the middle ages.

Toriko was relatively recent.

HnK isn't even that good gaywad

Did Toriko actually do manly things? I thought he was muscly and just ate a lot
that came around when harry potter and the lord of the rings became big. most things are just fads in the end of the day. in the next few decades or so, schoolgirl anime will fade away and something else will take its place.

What are some good MANIME? Just rewatched Kaiji and Joker Game and I totally forgot how kaiji has like no women.
