“While the authors support their findings with exhaustive research and detailed analysis, the whitepaper’s core conclusion is deceptively simple: Regulated financial institutions can comply with AML obligations when supporting privacy tokens. Period.”
Stop pumping it I don't get paid for another two weeks!
I've known this for long. its just the general crypto mass isn't aware of xmr can be used completely legally and complying with any laws. Anyway XMR is the fucking real thing and anyone who doesn't have some private banking assets is fucking RE TAR DED. : )
XMR is what crypto is all about.
decentralized, fairly distributed, grass roots cryptocurrency. no premine, no sergey holding 65pct of supply, no ripple labs holding 60pct of supply.
hae any more monero girls?
but you can hold an unknown amount
everyone is holding an unknown amount.
the whales and manipulators can't even do address monitoring, no whale alerts for xmr.
its fundamentally the greatest asset in the market right now and it will eventually be fairly valued. I would say at least 0.1 BTC.
Once BTC-XMR atomic swaps go live there's no reason not to use XMR
- Lower transaction fees that scale with use
- Privacy
- No need to use mixers/tumblers for privacy
Call me crazy but that liquidity pipeline could be what makes XMR flip BTC unironically
>at least 0.1 BTC
sounds about right, and even that's maybe a little conservative given the possible extent of current and future adoption
Bruh I don't even want to hold Bitcoin. XMR i truly want to hold. I don't understand why anyone would want to hold an asset where, someone can just check how much is in your bank account. I mean what the fuck. Holding Bitcoin is basically retarded.
Maybe I should just convert all my Bitcoin right now. I am not sure, how much longer will the market stay retarded?
I think there are a LOT of people who think like you
There just isn't a great liquidity pipeline and regulatory clarity
Both points are about to change
I can't really see Monero dumping wrt bitcoin. At the very least, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
How do I easily buy and store it Anonymously
I think XMR's greatest disadvantage is honestly a lack of awareness. It's easy to see it sitting next to Tezos, OKB and TRON and just assume it's just another proof-of-stake coin when it's the exact opposite. Hard to promote your brand when there's no Monero LLC Inc. company paying shills to spam it on a Mongolian potato farm discussion board. Guerilla marketing and just posting Monero threads on Zig Forums is honestly the way forward
I'm very confident in the future of XMR, they have the smartest crypto community I have ever seen. I also hold a great big unknown amount and I keep adding more to it and keep holding. All the fundamentals are on point.
- Open proof of work system. Not banking 2.0 the rich get richer Proof of stake
- Fair decentralized distribution from the start
- Scarcer than Bitcoin
- Strong proven cryptography
- Scaling figured out for the next few years. Relatively cheap transactions.
- Can be used 100pct compliant to law.
- Huge smart community
did you know Vitalik Premined 70! yes 70 million ETH? most of the projects are total scam distribution. it seems like people like to shit on Dash for example for having that little instamine, but then they look over the fact that Vitalik premined 70million coins to give to himself and friends under market prices. They forget that most erc20s have distributions where the team sometimes holds up to 60pct of supply ( chainstink / xrp ) who the fuck holds these assets? I surely don't. I trade tthemm sometimes but never ever will I hold my value in such a fucking shit scam distribution asset.
Thats 90pct of crypto assets right now, scam distribution. founders and frens and close ones get really rich and dump on the market forever, staking = dumping on you once the hype is over.
Don't worry bud. I make the Monero thread regularly : P
pic related.
yes organic growth
>new xmr thread
1. how do I buy it easily and anonymously though
2. What would make my purchase or what I buy not anonymous
>initiate deposit one week ago
lads... should I wait for a dip?
I find this comment funny because I view this as an advantage. Our growth in userbase is organic and not based on pajeets jerking off dumb scams like defi or whatever. People who buy Monero either use it or believe people will use it.
local monero
I had a dream about Monero last night. I stumbled across an off-grid community where they mine XMR and ride dirt bikes. They had some sort of clean energy supply and all surplus went to mining. It was chill
many entries are possible.
>> local.bitcoin.com p2p trade with on chain escrow, also a good option. you get BCH then but you can swap for XMR once you have it, almost anywhere.
Electric dirtbikes : D ?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong
but didn't bitmain or someone build an asic miner for monero, and then in defense they changed the hash algo? Therefore it isn't really decentralized?
I wanna go deeper into XMR, but atm I can't see it being better than BTC or ETH. (in terms of gains)
>Guerilla marketing
user, allow me to share a brief Monero-themed story that could potentially be turned into a lewd manga or whatever, inspired by the popularity of our waifu. Disclaimer, I'm not actually a weeb, so the honorifics here are probably off, and I'm just trying to imitate the style I see anons sometimes adopt here for shitposting.
>Monero-chan is in the middle of a very dry presentation at a cryptography conference: "...inputs are signed with Schnorr-style multilayered linkable spontaneous anonymous group signatures..."
>Suddenly, something catches her attention.
>Bitcoin-chan is presenting at the other end of the room and attracting a larger crowd. She's striking a lewd pose and spouting various slogans: "Digital gold!" "It's over 9000!"
>She pulls up her dress and shows her bare butt to the crowd. "Look! I'm mooning!"
>"Don't be shy! Come hodl me! Come store your value inside of me!" Whispered: "But, uh, only 3 to 7 at a time, please..."
>Monero-chan looks on in disgust as people leave her presentation to go see Bitcoin-chan.
>She walks over to the edge of the crowd, and shouts at them: "I thought we were here for cryptography! And financial freedom!"
>She's ignored, and in the background Bitcoin-chan is getting gangbanged while a guy in an IRS uniform films.
>Monero-chan storms off, thinking to herself: "She's such a slut. She's always broadcasting her bits everywhere, always getting all the attention..."
>Self-insert user runs over and catches up to Monero-chan as she's leaving the building.
>"Monero-chan? Is that you? I thought your presentation was going well..."
>Monero-chan seems confused. "Thank you? But I don't get it. It seems like no matter how hard I try, I can't compete with Bitcoin-chan."
(1/3)
>"Monero-chan... You're ahead of the curve. They just don't get it yet."
>"The self-defeating nature of optional privacy."
>"Fungibility as an essential property of money."
>"The futility of so-called 'censorship resistance' when any censorer can just identify you and punish you for disapproved transactions."
>"When they figure this stuff out, you'll be the one stealing the show. And that dumb whore will be alone in some corner. Maybe she'll be sticking lightning rods in places they don't belong, desperately trying to stimulate herself."
>Monero-chan has refused to make eye contact during this whole spiel. "Oh, user... I wish you were right. But it never works out like that for me."
>"Don't be like that! You're the real deal, Monero-chan. I can see it. *Anyone* can see it, once they get to know you."
>Monero-chan is finally starting to look hopeful as user continues. "You're so modest. You never make promises you can't keep. You just keep your head down as you theorize, test, innovate, improve..."
>An awkward pause.
>"So, um, Monero-chan, I know we just met, but... I was wondering if I could take a peek at your, you know... your transactions?"
>Monero-chan is disappointed. "user... With all that talk, I really thought you understood. I am *not* like the other girls. I won't just show off my transactions."
>A faint hint of a smile appearing on her lips, she adds: "No matter how much I like you. Math is math."
>user laughs. "But Monero-chan, I *do* understand. Look." He reaches into his pocket...
>and pulls out a key. Inscribed along it is an alphanumeric string.
>Monero-chan gasps. "A-user?! My private view key? How do you have that?"
>"I'd rather not say. But it's all the same to you, right Monero-chan? Math is math."
>"Right."
(2/3)
>She's suddenly embarrassed. "I-It's not like I didn't *want* you to view me, it just surprised me a little."
>Then she giggles. "So, auditor-kun..."
>"Where did you want to start your scan?" She starts to lift up her skirt.
>user laughs again. "Not out here! This is terrible opsec! Come on, I'll take you to a more secure environment."
>He takes Monero-chan's hand and starts leading her away. "And wait till you see the key in my *other* pocket..."
>...
>A bedroom. Monero-chan's distinctive M dress is on the floor.
>user and Monero-chan are fucking.
>"Oh... user... these transactions, they're so BIG. Go slowly now, my block size needs time to expand."
>They fuck some more.
>"Hey! That is NOT okay, backdoor entry is one thing I will never accept."
>Fucking continues.
>"Oh...! Two blocks, in five seconds?! Keep hashing! And harder now!"
>"Oh! Oh, Satoshi!"
>Sex has concluded. user and Monero-chan are putting some clothes back on. "That was wonderful, user. Taking all your transactions, feeling them fill up my blocks, it was so perfect... I've never felt so alive..."
>They're sitting on the edge of the bed in their underwear. "user, would you just... hold me, for a while?"
>They spoon. user: "I'll never let you go, Monero-chan."
>End.

What do we think. Is something like this worth illustrating?
What’s the price target??
1 xmr/xmr
this is very worth illustrating, nice story
I need time to accumulate this, only have few dozen still.
They implemented RandomX algo that is supposedly their last/best shot at rendering asic unprofitable. I haven’t heard anything since that fork last December... but it may not be able to lock ASIC out for good unfortunately.
