I didn't enjoy monster either.

Gurren Lagann, not so good.

Same here, good soundtrack though

40 or so chapters in and Monster isn't quite what I expected. Based on my passing impression of it, I was hoping it to be more focused around Johan, or at least 50/50 Johan and Tenma, and for Johan to talk a lot to the viewer about his philosophy. Enjoyed what I've read so far but its simply not what I expected and it feels like a manga you take slow. Very episodic in nature.

this plus FLCL and monogatari

fuck both of you

mushishi
boring shite

>FLCL
fuck you

I'm beginning to wonder if anyone actually likes this since the only times it's ever mentioned is when it's getting meme shitted on.

Monster is my favorite anime.

Kino no Tabi? If I wanted to watch a dyke on a motorcycle, I'd go visit San Francisco instead.

>1000 chapters and nothing has happened
I feel like this is the biggest fucking waste of time in manga history

Should I read Monster or watch it?

>FLCL
eat me
It's like a 7/10, definitely not the 10/10 people pretend it is here

For me, it's Cowboy Bebop

FLCL is great but agreed on monogatari. It's tedious psued garbage.

FLCL can only be enjoyed if you're a manchild. Stop liking self-inserts.

Gunbuster
For example, I don't like Gurren Lagann but I recognize its merits. Meanwhile, I genunely don't like Gunbuster.

Speaking of amazing animes/manga when is pluto getting it's anime released

read

Gunbuster is fucking awesome.

define happen

the problem with monster is the awful main plot: tenma is bland, johann is a bullshit le epic keikaku man villain sue.
but the side stuff is really good

Camon that's not fair. Just because it's bland doesnt' mean it's bad. It's clean, and it's consistent over a long period of time that builds to a not all that intense conclusion.

This is something rare in the medium especially for a mystery story.

>johann is a bullshit le epic keikaku man villain sue.
Anyone who thinks this didn't get the show.

I haven't read the manga but I enjoyed the anime a lot.

not much difference, monster is a panel for panel anime adaptation (and the pacing is shit because of it)

Could you eleborate. It seems like Jonathan is le epic keikau man and also a risk taker to a tee hoping for death. Though I know the show is interrogating something else entirely.

Not a single plot or reveal has been revealed, Oda has done nothing but blueball with hints, silhouettes and reaction images (to events we don't know about) for over twenty years because he's too afraid to have actual plot developments

Spice and Wolf
feel like you need to be autistic to enjoy it
