Don't worry, she won't. People in this thread are reacting way too hard over this chapter, while to me it feels like a setup for failure.

Like, I can't tell what EXACTLY Aka is thinking. Maybe Tsubame and Ishigami will date for a while. Maybe there's going to be a rejection right away. I don't think Aka will necessarily shy away from topics like breakups in the story. But I know for certain, they won't end up together in the long run. Like, narratively, the point of a romance is to act as a catalyst for other things in a character's development. If a character's whole existence revolves around their relation to a romantic plot, then that's pretty poor writing - and its something Aka has mostly avoided pretty well. Tsubame though, she's still tied down, and her relevance to the story is entirely through Ishigami himself. If Ishigami disappears from the manga, Tsubame will never show up again. The same can't be said for Fujiwara, or Miko, or even Maki. In that sense, Tsubame is more of a plot device than anything else, and even if you like her, that much is undeniable. Therefore, there's not a whole lot she gains from the resolution of a romance, so narratively, it'd be pretty counterproductive for the two to get together.

There's also no lack of red flags in the chapter itself. Think of how it's structured. Pay close attention to it. This chapter is more about Ishigami's resolution than the chemistry of the two. It shows off Ishigami's ethic and how much he's changed and how hard he's working, but there's nothing about the interplay between the two besides "Ishigami wants to impress Tsubame." In other words, Ishigami's arc wasn't about GETTING Tsubame, but TRYING to get Tsubame. His character development is not incident on getting the girl, so I don't think he will.

For all the bullshit I hear you fucks spout about Aka, he's a very conventional writer in most ways. So Tsubame really doesn't have a chance in hell.

I rather make Kaguya thread crash and burn forever rather than letting Mikodog like you stay on Kaguya thread
