Is this manga just sol moeshit beginning to end? I'm 50 chapters in and there's no progression.
It's iyashikei you pleb
It's basically global warming and rising sea levels.
Yes, it stays slice of life the entire time.
>no progression
thats the point, theres no big event theres no plot changing scene, the world is ending and theres nothing you can do but cherish it one day at a time through the good and sad moments
If thats your impression you might as well stop reading.
Sounds more depressing than soul-healing, or however you translate iyashikei.
please stop reading if you are unable to appreciate high quality fiction.
its already too late for you, fren.
A lot of iyahikei is kind of depressing depending on how you look at it.

The best way to sum it up is that in Japan, house values (not land values) go down over time because they're not built to last more than a few decades. The habit of constructing stone buildings that last for millennia is quite foreign to them.
Im not continuing. The work has good art and I can tell it's trying to deliver some interesting themes about loss, dedication to others, gratitude, and the value of human connection with the owner being a metaphor for a lost lover but I can't enjoy it moment to moment.
Do we ever get any form of resolution about her owner? He's super duper dead right?
>humanity will go extinct because some chink ate a bat
I hate this. I wish we got YKK tier comfy end of the world.
This is the average Zig Forums post now. Just delete this board already.
This is why I love Aria, but actually find it depressing at the same time.
The principal theme behind Aria was "this is the most perfect and beautiful world that we could possibly establish, and yet all things change; people grow up or grow older and you don't see them as much." Avvenire hit really hard because of how effectively it summed up the entire series.
the world isn't ending, humanity is, they stopped trying
I pity the souls incapable of enjoying this manga.
I really love the characters, but the fact that Earth is polluted and dirty kinda hurts, but the scenery and the anime OST is amazing.
>So tell me again why is the world ending?
Because people suck at maintaining civilizations and politicians never let a crisis go to waste, also chink flu hysteria
it's only depressing when you don't accept that the real world is shit
I should watch Aria sometime
know a good place to stream?
It isn’t. People have always said the world is ending since time began.
Also, tfw no Alpha gf.
Wouldn't you rather have an Aria gf, or even an Amanchu?
faggots
I want a war maiden
Naw this isn't for you. You seem to require some sort of progression to be satisfied. I found that the way to enjoy the manga is to "enjoy the moment", its not about what happened or whats gonna happen. every moment's good if you try to enjoy it
tldr pic related
You're gonna have a bad time.
>implying I wouldn't enjoy it and do it raw
yeah I'm not a fan of iyashikei either.
I don't try to stir pots here because Zig Forums has a raging boner for it.
Yes, and that's why it's good.
>You’re telling me that this manga about a robot woman running her cafe in the post apocalypse doesn’t have an epic plot? Fuck this, it sucks.
And it took you 50 chapters of reading to realize this you must have extra low iq
Iyashikei appeals to people in a somewhat specific mood. Whether one enjoys the work can sometimes change on a day to day basis. I can't think of a time when most, or many, of Zig Forumsnons were fans of the genre.
I like the comfy and melancholic vibe of it, but it’s too uneventful for my liking. I’m not fond of mono no aware for the same reason.
It would be nice to find something with a similar mood, but with an actual plot and things happening.
Sora no woto starts doing shit in the later half
If you haven't watched Aria yet you should give a try. As user said - It has a plot, but important things happen mostly in the Origination
