It has become clear that XRP will be successful in 2020 and beyond, my only question is how successful?
I know that this is probably going to anger some people but I would say that the 2k EOY prediction is likely a meme. This would mean that XRP becomes a global currency in the span of under 6 months, which does not seem likely to me.
That being said, I think that things are looking incredibly bullish for XRP. Judy Shelton is about to be appointed to the Board of the Fed, and she is a noted XRP enthusiast (everyone just shares the tweet which is exciting, but she has also made statements in interviews saying that she supports the a gold-linked cryptoasset and this asset would almost undoubtably be XRP). China is being blasted by storms and flooding which will likely disrupt their ability to mine BTC, which to me is bullish for XRP. Also, I think that the US government is realizing that BTC is a Chinese controlled asset and will begin throwing their full support behind making US coins the standard for global payments (i.e. XRP). Brad Garlichouse stated in previous tweets that he believed that 2019 would be a huge year for cryptocurrencies' adoption by banks. He was ultimately wrong because the US did not put in place any clear regulatory guidelines for cryptocurrencies during 2019, but they have begun to do so in a big way during 2020. This means that cryptocurrencies (and specifically XRP) will begin to be adopted by the mainstream financial world at an accelerated pace now. XRP is clearly the premier currency for transferring funds. Nothing else comes even close in terms of speed, efficiency, and cost. Large institutions are going to continue to pick up on this and make the conversion to using XRP.
All of this is to say that I think XRP is incredibly bullish right now. Personally I think that an EOY price in the range of $10-$30 is very feasible but I was wondering what other's thoughts were.
2K EOY. The moves will be made this month. Watch the price of gold. Follow the money. Take note of the stimulus method. Don't go to the island party when you make it.
realistically itll be slightly over $1, and thats being conservative about it

It doesn't need to be a global currency, it just needs to be a global means of settlement. The network allowing for settlement through XRP has an entire enterprise software suite already incorporated into major banks. The value captured in the settlements (and therefore the price of XRP) depends on the underlying value if the assets. Now, it's starting to look like nations may be going back to gold backed currencies. But we live in a global economy now, and gold isn't nearly liquid enough to keep up with the number of cross border transfers happening at any given moment. Therefore, it would make sense to tokenize gold to act as an underlying asset.
Tokenized gold already exists, in fact, on the Ethereum chain. ILP would allow for rapid settlement of tokenized gold in XRP. Therefore, XRP would need to be valuable enough to capture the value of tokenized gold. All that needs to happen is coordinated adoption of the software suite by banks (who already hold most of the XRP anyway, and are therefore the market makers who get to set the price in the first place).

I agree 2k eoy is a meme but everyone saying shit like is also fud. No point in making posts like these desu. The poor brainlet that says XRP is going to be dumped on us soon to arrive. Just hold. Personally I won’t be selling any XRP only buying till it pases $5, then just hold until I’m fully aware it’s been widely adopted. It’s inevitable for it to reach 3 and 4 digit prices.
Jayden Gray
what's up with XRP being shilled on here like crazy all of a sudden? only a couple weeks ago you'd never see anything about XRP and if you ever did it would be some user getting slaughtered for holding XRP bags
today was nice the whole day, but there has been a bearish trend the last couple of hours... which Im not certain why, but still, on the long run xrp appears to be bullish af, but $2000eoy its imposible, can go up to 2 figures but it will take a while... for eoy I see calculated somewhere around $2 or $3.
Matthew Lopez
this. has there been some sort of actual happening to suggest the price of ripple would do anything but flatline?
Carter Butler
Yep it's obviously fake. And some people like the ones that started this post are the kind to sort themselves out and finally realize that XRP is just like every other coin and it's not magic. So now they're left to barter and rationalize and try to get others to explain to them why they spent so much money on essentially is a grand YouTube collective conspiracy. The ones here probably making the most money are the ones on YouTube pushing this for views. XRP is what happens when you look at q anonymous and then ask yourself how you can profit from it.
Ok, I agree with you from a long term perspective. It definitely makes sense for XRP to be backed by gold, but I don't think that this will happen before EOY. It makes for sense to me that XRP would make huge strides in its existing usecase (that usecase being a global means of settlement not backed by gold).

Why can't I go to the party?
Bentley Carter
>It has become clear that XRP will be successful in 2020 and beyond
stopped right there lmfao
Gabriel Sanchez
Read the schizo pictures.
Adrian Adams
I disagree with this strongly. I'm not trying to rationalize anything and I bought in far before the 2k EOY meme started. I'm trying to have an honest discussion about where we could end up by EOY. The fact is that XRP is a fundamentally strong coin. Besides the 2k meme the fact remains that we have a lot of potential growth with XRP and I'm trying to have a discussion about how far that growth is going to take us.

I would agree that it might be longer term if we weren't in the middle of a global liquidity crisis. Everyone is printing, PMs are soaring, the Fed is raising the inflation target, US GDP dropped 32% this quarter, etc. It's the perfect storm, and action needs to be taken quickly. Likely before the election.
Jackson Evans
this user sees what the rest of you don't see and take into account. ;)
Brandon Lopez
I held ripple since 2018, sold in March, fuck XRP and fuck the Fed!
Carter Ortiz
$10 by this time next year. >but the bond market US Central Bank Digital Currency Just being realistic. Still accumulating too. Wanna hit 100k before the price reaches 50cents. $10 is still a fucking massive return.
I agree with that and that's why I think Judy Shelton will be successful in convincing the Fed to adopt XRP. But you're saying that as a part of that adoption XRP will be pegged to gold?
Ryder Price
i already have over 100k
its time to moon
Angel Young
this isn't the/ biz/ I know, reddit is here.
Cameron Jenkins
It takes a market cap of 1 trillion dollars for the price of XRP to hit $17 a piece. So if all of the nostro accounts were converted over then XRP would be worth $238 a piece that is the absolute max at XRP will ever reach. But to get even over half that is just absolutely retarded. Xrpers are doomed to lose all of their money look at the 4 year chart.
Andrew Miller
can you please write out your math so we can double check it
Brandon Morgan
well, taking into account that I haven't stop making profit since I bought 5k 3 weeks ago with this coin. I would say, that you are really salty because you didn't took the dip and let go this mad gains?
or are you one of those schizos that things that his only hold will worth 1000s of dollars one day?
Logan Green
I'm not if it will be necessarily pegged to gold. Things appear to be heavily coordinated by the IMF. I think it will pegged to the eSDR, which will be backed by gold instead of petrodollar. Gold is going way beyond $2K.
Jordan Rogers
dont worry about it its schizo shit we havent even seen the first hint of inflation and these people are acting like the reserve currency of the last 100 years is already dead
Owen Rodriguez
Halfway between these 2, and on a much longer time horizon. 1 the banks(investment funds) already own xrp 2 they now also control the lion's share of BTC 3ish- I believe the FED funded this buy so that BTC price can be dumped in an instant. This is the ultimate weapon against china(not the people, just the corrupt government.) Only one way out of BTC that operates instantly. That is what these schizos mean when they keep parroting "flip the switch". It's literally "the flippening". It's literally a weapon of war. Of trade war. Also gonna post that I wholly recognize how corrupt and unfair and completely controlled our own government and economy is.
Well fug.. Why isn’t this made known? I know it doesn’t fit the shilling narrative but still. This is the first I’ve seen pointing this out.
Thomas Russell
Well this is just wrong. All nostro/vostro accounts should eventually be converted into XRP because it will make the global financial system much much much more streamlined. Why would you think that it wouldn't be?
how is btc a weapon against china you fucking schizo
Cameron Powell
>we haven’t even seen the first hint of inflation user I..
Camden Garcia
I think that the US government absolutely does not like BTC because it is controlled by Chinese miners and hence the CCP. It makes a lot of sense to me that the US would buy and promote XRP as (unironically) the new standard and unseat BTC as the dominant player and store of value.
Dominic Thompson
I honestly think the 2k EOY shit is reverse-psychology FUD. Its an attempt to get people to associate XRP with retarded schizo conspiracies, and when these conspiracies inevitably fail to materialize, fudders will turn around and go HAHA CRIPPLES BTFO. Seriously, why do so many fudders try and force this narrative that XRP has to go to some crazy price for it to be a lucrative investment? I am sitting on 20k mostly bought between 20-28 cents. Even if it only goes back to ATH (which I definitely believe it will), I will still have made a great return.
XRP is the weapon you brainlet. BTC is controlled by China because they have the vast majority of mining power. The US would want to reduce BTC's importance to harm China's control.
Jeremiah Davis
What’s stopping the chinks from buying into XRP then?
Brody Ross
cripple fags are so pathetic holy shit.
Logan Hall
Nothing, but if they do they are locked into the same monetary format as the West. A level playing field.
Gavin Carter
I agree with this strongly. The 2k meme is designed to harm XRP by associating it with schizos. Same thing happened with the Bearable meme. Underlying the crazy memes are is a very strong coin with tons of growth potential. That is what I was trying to get at with this thread.
Blake Thomas
You're sussing it out without biting user. XRP is actually defined as Exchange Rate Peg. It is and always will be pegged to the dollar. It is the continuation of the dollar milkshake theory in a world gone mad. The Peter Zeihan plus Covid plus 3 Gorges Dam collapse kind of world gone mad. XRP will allow normies with cell phones all over the world to hold value in USD while their own countries currency inflates into worthless shit and they make a NEW and IMPROVED STRONK dollarino! Already happening in Iran and Russia. In Japan, one xrp is already 27 japperinos.
Kayden Gutierrez
You are both wrong. You will find out eoy, eventually.
Gavin Price
Even if they did buy into XRP they would not control it in the same way that they do with BTC. Ripple is a US government and is going to adhere to US regulations. That is the reason why we haven't seen a huge XRP moon yet; Ripple was waiting for US regulation to be put into place before they start making huge moves.
On the other hand, China controls something like 60% of BTC mining power meaning that the CCP could conduct 51% attacks if they wanted to or exert their influence over the coin in other ways.
Isaac Wilson
its like how everyone thought antifa was going to take over the world (link) then out of nowhere you realize the silent majority (xrp) was always in control and trump will be president again
Elijah Thomas
Right, but in order for XRP to be this stable store of global value it has to be pegged to something right? That something being gold in this case.
