The dub potrays Light in a far more charismatic light (lol). It takes the viewer longer to give up on him. He's portrayed better. The orginal shows him as manipulative and evil from the first episode, you're biased to L from the get go. The dub is more ambiguous in how it portrays good evil. That's why it's better. Although I will admit some side characters make the dub look like shit, but overall it portrays the show's themes better than the original.

Literally any anime that you watched dubbed as a kid. After growing up with the dub the original feels weird, i for one could never really get accustomed to Goku's, Kenshin's, Kagome's, Yugi's, Ioh's etc japanese voices because i watched the dub first.

Honorable mentions are Panty and Stocking, Hellsing, and any gag dub (Ghost Stories, Samurai Pizza Cats, Hajimete no Gal, Bobobo). FLCL is the only English dub that doesn't sound off using honorifics and Japanese onomotopoeia.

I concede on this line but otherwise dubs can go fuck themselves. english dubs sound jarring for most past. Some rus dubs are funny though. I usually always watch sub no matter the language.
