I'm betting on China/Asia, because they actually need crypto to transact freely in their communist/post-communist economies.
Russia needs crypto, but Europe/America doesn't, really. therefore, profit in crypto is likely to be unevenly split between Asian and western countries, even though innovation seems to mostly be a western principle.
first mover advantage often loses out to network effect, and Asia has faster adoption and more network effect in the space than the western world.
