Totally possible. They could have shorted, been already underwater from 5ish and then increased position when the fud report dropped. We just don't know. I think the only way we will confirm is through a 10m+ aave liquidation

I don't know about AAVE bc I don't use it, but it seems to me there are 2 options if you can verify he has NOT been liquidated:
1. The short was successful and the funds are still on the exchange
2. The short was unsuccessful and there will be a shitstorm to follow.

Here’s the transaction showing nexo borrowing 350k LINK from aave.
Note that there is another couple million LINK borrowed on Aave, haven’t looked into that but that’s likely nexo too since I doubt anyone else with a lot of capital is stupid enough to fall for the FUD and short it themselves. The later, larger sells were done at lower levels and close to 7 dollars iirc.
