OT15 isn't nearly as bad as OT 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, or 11. It only seems bad because of it being the only dip in quality in OT from 12 on.

Go figure... I don't know if or why people think OT15 was the best arc, but it certainly had some interesting things going for it, and was one of the arcs look forwarded to by a ton of fans.

Amusing how the anime not only adapted it poorly, but turned it into unironically the worst arc of the entire franchise that's been adapted so far.

Also, I think Angel Fall is one of the few arcs that the anime did better than the novels, just because Touma comes off as kind of an idiot, and the way the entire spell works is different in the anime.
Though I am a little disappointed that they removed Touma's stabbing backstory (or downplayed it rather). Not that it'd make that much difference for Touma's character, since his amnesia prevents him from being developed by it now.

That's not how that works stupid an anime adaption can't retroactively make an arc bad, just make the adaptation bad. The source material still exist and it's great

Exactly. Not about to just pretend that OT15 was bad just cause the anime exists. Before the anime, people knew that there would have to be a change in the directing approach to even direct it properly. It is narratively and fundamentally different from the rest of the novels barring NT4, which stands to get similarly fucked up if they don't fix their approach

Touma is uneffected due to IB and index is affected because she has no defense and most of the other magicians are affected by it as well, like kanzaki being stiyl and tsuchi being a famous person. I did enjoy the series at a point, but the constant teasing and lack of proper communication between characters regarding key points just got so tiresome. The series has so much potential that if feels like he barely draws it out most of the time.
