How did people like this show? I really wanted to like it since it's SL but was painful to watch. If it was a lighthearted comedy (see: Kenja no Mago) it COULD be fun but it didn't have a hint of comedy despite being SL nor was it lighthearted despite the show clearly not being meant to be taken seriously.
Literally the entirety of the show was:

>Anus uses his magic
>"shi-shinjirarenai!"
>big bad appears
>"you are not maou you are weak"
>"no"
>big bad gets btfo
>"shi-shinjirarenai!"
Similarly to this show:

the show went down in the heroes vs demon arc

It was kind of fun when it didn't take itself too seriously, then like most of these shows do the end was pretty obnoxious. It might have also got a little stale since we know whats going to happen every time, overall not terrible though
