Why do these two look more and more like a lesbian couple? Ryuko is so masculine it's ridiculous.
KLK 7 years later
Shit nigga, if lesbians looked that good in real life, I'd be all for it. Instead RL gets bulldykes that look fat and ugly. Also Ryuko's wearing a baggy shirt, and there's nothing hotter than a sexy woman wearing men's clothes (e.g. tomboys)
Ryuko was always a tomboy
Asian lesbo are HOT AF at least the ones in east or southeast asia
Overrated meme show people only like because of the character designs.
Retard alert.
there are literally only two half naked characters
They look like that because they are like that.
Hetshit literally BTFO.
t. Tumblerina
Guts the dog is still alive?
>hetshit
Die, cuck.
>Small Brain: wow Mako interrupted the wedding with that dude lesbians for the win hetshit BTFO!
>Big Brain: Ryuko has mentally retreated inside a mental illusion created by Junketsu rather than face the existential dilemma of being a life fiber. Mako attempts to reason with her but her words fall on deaf ears so Ryuko tries to strike her down but Senketsu jumps between them and is cut down instead. Ryuko who sees Senketsu as the same as her sees the act of self-sacrifice as unquestionably human and thus sees her own humanity in him and destroys Junketsu to reunite with her friends.
Ryuko is so cool and fashion.
She is my wife.
Is she trying to be her sister?
Bigger brain: Junketsu, literal and metaphorical wedding dress, imposed on Ryuko by Ragyo, her mother and also avatar of law, order and unquestionable truths, has obvious allegorical significance in regard to adhering to social norms, namely for a girl to follow family obligations into a stereotypical heterosexual marriage (while everyone else is very explicitly forced into salaryman suits). Rejecting that means leaving herself free to follow any unconventional path in life she desires, including a relationship with the girl who coincidentally stopped the wedding.
I'll believe Ryuko and Mako are les when Diana and Akko are. It's just a girl friendship especially one as close as there's they are step sisters now, Ryuko was formally adopted by Mako's family at the end of the show.
Trying to force the narrative to suit your fetish is not a big brain maneuver. KLK had nothing to do with romance.
Her in-laws like her
Sushio really likes Ryumako huh
>hetshit
>Trying to force the narrative
Trying to ignore the thematic motifs of the show, which has wedding dresses and marriage as recurring elements, because there isn't outright romance (in a largely allegorical work we should remember) is not much big brained of you.
KLK is literally a girl meets girl story.
Just because there are wedding motifs and symbolism for how clothing controls you doesn't suddenly make the show gaycoded pro lbgt. That's a false equivalence.
only half of all lesbians look ugly, the other half look regular(sometimes even good). The problem is that the good looking ones quite often go for the ugly ones for some reason.
It's literally not.
Diana and Akko are not even close to the relationship that Mako and Ryoko have. Diana and Akko are barely rivals on good terms, while Mako and Ryoko are best friends, sleep under the same roof, Mako has gotten several nosebleeds over Ryokos naked body, she "crashed Ryokos brainwashed wedding", she kissed her in one of her Hallelujah moments and invaded her privancy on so many accounts that Ryoko actually looks forward to it now.
While Diana and Akko "I want to beat you, but i enjoy that we have the same hobby!"
How could you compare these two?
Wakabayashi literally describes KLK as a "girl meets girl" story
It's been 7 years and some anons understand the story or symbolism at all. And it's a fucking TRIGGER show. Is this the power of autism?
Based.
*don't understand
Wakabyashi didn't write the story. You could cut Mako out of the story entirely and for the most part aside from not having anywhere near as many gags the plot wouldn't change.
who said he was talking about Mako
Remember when episode 23's speedsubs got delayed because CR leaked the script and Japan got mad, and then Daiz and Underwater saved anime? Good times
Go rewatch the show. You memory got messed up because you somehow projected Mako as "just the comic relief", when she was a VERY integral part of the story. She is like one of the most important supporting cast members in fiction ever. She may not be the protagonist or has special bloodline to be part of the conspiracy plot, but without her Ryoko/the heroes would have lost so many times it's not even funny.
Mako's gags are all one sided and played for laughs. She's just another hyperactive anime best friend
I tell you the same thing i told the other user, go rewatch the show, clearly you forgot a lot of it. You don't even have to watch the entire series, just, like, 6 episodes or so and you can see that it's not just played for laughs or just one sided
In general? Not necessarily, only as far as that's a lifestyle that strays away from the norm.
In regard to the scene we're talking about and Ryuko's character specifically? It can certainly be read that way.
>You could cut Mako out of the story entirely
Confirmed to only have watched to fap.
She gets plot handouts. She gets to save the day occasionally by being whacky, or suddenly saying something smart or just being in the right place at the right time but at the end of the day she is a comic relief sidekick and friend character.
