Did it peak in the Soul Society arc...

Did it peak in the Soul Society arc? Thinking of reading from chapter 1 but not sure if I already watched the best part of the series.

Everything Soul Society does is done better in Arrancar.
Soul Society is only seen as some kind of 10/10 arc in the West because of nostalgia.

Nah that arc dragged on and had worst characters especially the antagonists.

>had worst characters
It had the same characters except they got more development, plus some new characters.
>especially the antagonists
It had the same antagonists, plus some new ones that are good.
And 'dragged on' is applicable to every Bleach arc objectively.

It unironically peaked at Ichigo vs Ulquiorra.
All arcs are fun, but THE HEART is peak battle shounen.

I don't think so. I had held out on Bleach for the longest time and only caught up when it was ending. I had heard everyone sucking off Soul Society saying it was the best shonen arc ever written, but when I actually read it I wasn't blown away. I don't know if it's because I already knew the plot twist with Aizen, but maybe it's because the initial group that invaded with Ichigo were pretty underwhelming. Only the fights with Ichigo were kind of hype, everyone's elses were pretty underwhelming. Hueco Mundo had better fights overall for everyone.

Soul society is good, but it isnt even best arc in bleach if you talking about manga. In anime format maybe, it have the best pacing

Arrancar Arc is. Take your time and enjoy it. You're in for the ride of your life. Trust me.

Soul Society is hard to fault, most people agree its the most consistent and defining "Bleach" arc. Only hardcore slice-of-life Karakura fans will deny this.

Karakura Invasion/ Early Arrancar arc is the first real slump, this is where the pacing starts to take a dip but is necessary to build upon the coming arc.

Hueco Mundo is really under-appreciated, once again the pacing really hurts it but the payoff is worth it. Many will make surface-level comparisons to SS but the peaks arguably surpass SS. Winter War/ Deicide is interspersed with this arc so it's hard to really separate them, I think its fair to say that if this arc lost you then there's no need to continue.

Lost Agent/ Xcution is a necessary transitional arc, one that brings the focus back on the core cast while also bringing a pivot in tone until the Shinigami inevitably return. The pacing is much better than previous arcs but is nonetheless divisive for the aforementioned reasons.

TYBW I would say brings out some of the best and worst aspects of Bleach; pacing-wise it goes from 0 to 100 every other volume or so. It also relies on concepts brought up very early in the manga for its narrative that many readers won't pick up on, such as the nature of Quincy powers and the balance of souls. It's also the only arc of the manga yet to be adapted to anime, which I expect will change its reception depending on how well its adapted next year.

The Espada are the best antagonist group in Bleach.

I REALLY want to give the Stern Ritters a shot. They'd wipe the floor with the Espada all day long. I just hope the anime makes them justice.

Manga > crapnime

I like the Sternritters, the Espada are just better overall, though.

Substitute arc uh, exists I guess.
Soul Society arc is kino but farfetched (they should have been slaughtered shortly after entering Seireitei, and sending anyone other than cat lady was super retarded/evil of Urahara).
Arrancar arc was PEAK KINO fully realized.
Fullbring arc was a nice psychological thriller with some useful and some useless character additions.
TYBW arc had some very high highs and some very low lows - a very inconsistent arc.

Hollow land was best for me.

yes.
arrancar is just soul society but in heck and less interesting.

Diagnosed retardation.

>but farfetched (they should have been slaughtered shortly after entering Seireitei, and sending anyone other than cat lady was super retarded/evil of Urahara).
Aizen intentionally orchestrated things so that Ichigo and crew could survive at first. Remember how Gin is the first captain on the scene and he just locks them on the other side of the gate instead of doing anything only to go "tee hee whoops" at the captains meeting?

The stuff before the Soul Society arc is honestly pretty hard to muscle through. I got to like issue 30 and then got bored

So, if only Shinigami (Zanpakuto) purify Hollows/Souls and send them to SS, and only Quincies permanently destroy them, what happens to Souls killed by any other method (other Hollows, Fullbring, brute force Hakuda/hand to hand, Kido, Reiatsu crush etc)?

Probably just destroys them, but statistically speaking 99% of hollows are going to be cut down by Zans so its negligible.

But even in TYBW they emphasize that only Quincies can destroy souls. If these other methods also destroy souls you'd think they'd be more concerned about the 3rd world shit hole that is Hueco Mundo where Hollows either eat or just kill each other by the thousands.

Hollows eating other hollows doesn't disrupt the balance though.

deepest lore

?

the manga was never good

>bumping on page 10
Kill yourself

Cope

The problem with the Sernritter as that there's twice as many as the espada, and Kubo was ruching to finish the series so none of them got to be characters.

The anime dragged on with all the filler. The manga wasn't as bad

Yeah I'd say the espada as a group were better, but some of the sternritter were pretty good. Askin, Haschwalth, Bazz B, etc

This. He provoked Renji so he would go fight Ichigo, giving him a rival to bounce off and become stronger. Kenpachi needed no goading, but there was a good chance he would lose to Ichigo anyway. He always holds back and only increases his power when he's about to lose. The only way to beat him is a sudden powerup while he's still holding back, which Ichigo could pull off with his latent potential. Byakuya was a real hurdle though

Eating a hollow pretty much means you devour and absorb its power. So instead of two '1' you have a single '2'. It equals out
