Yeah? Well my dad can beat up your dad.

Horse droppings are better than cow flops.

nah dragonball managaes to be even worse than fucking naruto
also naruto is actually pretty good when it's rarely "good"

>Naruto calling anyone a brat
Oh the irony

At least Dragon Ball doesn't have retarded monologues about how their abilities work in the middle of fights and doesn't have god awful choreography.

Dragon Ball is hit and always was.

>The Journey to the west rip off is better than the Harry Potter rip-off
Doesn't really say much.

I'm surprised Naruto can actually move under the 150Kg that Goku canonically wears as part of that outfit.

Name a reason why dragonball is bad

water is wet

Honestly, I like Naruto more but even I'll admit that Dragon Ball Z was better written for its time...There isn't much there in Naruto that can hold up compared to the saiyan/namek arc combination

Not an accomplishment

Goku eventually stopped showing his penis.

Naruto:
>Large cast of characters with frequent and varied interactions all of which have their own special uses. They must often work together to complete a mission
>Strong worldbuilding. Each region is vastly different and has unique people living there
>Dynamic characters where development has a lasting impact on the story

Dragon Ball:
>Large cast of characters. 99% of which are completely forgotten or relegated exclusively to comic relief duty. The other half only exists to suck off Goku's dick and how useless they all are
>Cities are all virtually identical and half of them get destroyed every week. Majority of the series takes place in large baren landscapes
>Not enough variety in story arcs = training arc, tournament arc, doomsday villain arc, rinse and repeat
>Character development = I trained and now I'm way stronger! Oh no wait, I'm still useless, Goku please save me!
>If a character develops, it will never pay off in the long term, because the author tends to reset their character arc from square one whenever it's convenient to the plot (i.e, Vegeta, Gohan, etc)

talking is 90% the reason the fights in db are so long wtf are you talking about

Now I know you're trolling

Based Naruchad.

Only in the anime.
The fights in the manga are so short, people end up disappointed things like Base Vegito humiliating Buu and Goku vs Majin Vegeta fight from the anime is filler.

what an impressively high bar it has to get over

Naruto has superior husbandos

>moeshit posting
didn't even read

The interactions between Naruto characters don't feel like they were written by a functioning human being.
>strong worldbuilding
It does nothing with it past the first arc.

Dragon Ball was never good. Every character was unlikable as fuck and it was whacky to the point of being fucking retarded. It got entertaining around the tournament arcs and Piccolo Daimao. In other words, it got better when it became like how Dragon Ball Z would eventually be.

Dragon Ball Z is still terrible in its own right though, considering Toriyama never bothered to try and put any efforts unlike Kishimoto. Shit like the Room of Spirit and Time or Saiyans hurting themselves to get stronger would be absolutely inexcusable asspull horseshit in any modern story.

I think the fact that Dragon Ball Super generated so much hype gave us an important knowledge and insight about human tastes and how we don't even need a context to thrive on conflict. Dragon Ball was one of the first stories that was literally just about mindless fighting. Usually fighting is just a medium to convey themes and character development (Ashita no Joe, Hokuto no Ken, Saint Seiya, etc), but Dragon Ball was literally just about fighting for the sake of fighting. And people ate it up anyway because at the end of the day they care about the conflict itself more so than the reasons for conflict.

Naruto has its fair share of problems, but on retrospect after reading the Storytime threads, it is indeed the better series by far compared to Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball has pretty much run itself into the ground with it's repetitiveness for over 20 years while having spawned the single most obnoxious fanbase in the history of anything on this planet besides Sonic.

And water is wet. More at 11.

>Every character was unlikable as fuck
Confirmed for never watching or reading the series

Naruto has better AESTHETICS.

>or Saiyans hurting themselves to get stronger
So real life?

Attached: 1464140207042.jpg (204x190, 19.16K)

>People unironically believe in the "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" meme
Yeah, try falling off a roof and see if you'd get stronger after being hopspitalized.

That "meme" is truth. You clearly don't lift like Dragon CHADS do.

How do you think muscle growth from exercise works?

Then go jump off a roof and try and get stronger if it works. If you're lucky, you might just walk away with a head concussion, fractured bones, internal bleeding and functionality of limbs.

>but on retrospect after reading the Storytime threads
it's weird seeing this while the storytime has been filled with people lamenting Kishimoto's hack writing (down to having meme panels for it) and wasting fantastic ideas
in all honesty Toriyama and Kishimoto basically have the same level of writing ability, one is a gag artist and the other wrote Samurai 8

Stabbing yourself to death =/= Exercising to the point where your muscles are sore

>Uses a ridiculous example
Confirmed dork who can't LIFT

organ damage and neuronal damage in not the same as muscle growth, do you really think that someone hitting you in the head and fucking your neurons is going to make you stronger?
