I couldn't enjoy this show like it was supposed to be enjoyed.
There were points when it was made to be hot but it made my blood boil so hard I couldn't concentrate in anything else, part of the blame is on the male characters for being in such a pitful state and taking all that shit.

No, why should I?

> it made my blood boil so hard I couldn't concentrate in anything else
Why? There was literally nothing that I can think of that made me mad. The girls were obviously into BDSM. All the scenes with Hana made me hard as fuck. I wish he dated her instead of Chiyo

Nope.
She dug her own grave and dragged others down with her.

absolute dogshit ending

>She clearly had a love interest for Kiyoshi
>He straight up lied to her just to be with another girl

yeah she had a weird piss fetish but she didnt mean any real harm

It was such an one-sided abuse and the lack of will by anyone to try to stop it what made it so nerve-racking.

she beat the shit out of him consgtantly, couldn't be honest with her feelings and then ruined his life forever by exposing him wearing her panties
she deserved nothing

>author deliberately ruins the ending to their manga out of spite as one final fuck you to their readers because people preferred to read their jokey booby butt manga instead of the serious one they made about the american jazz nig nog from the '20s
yeah, she deserves better than to be attached to a faggot creator like that

(1/2) The ending makes sense if you consider the story to be an odyssey of self-discovery loosely rooted in Jungian philosophy. Kiyoshi enters the school with hopes of experiencing romance with a girl. This would be likened to a man first discovering his anima, the female part of his soul. His ideal girl at the beginning is Chiyo or if going off of Jung's theory of the development of the anima, Eve. After entering prison, he is introduced to Hana, who could be considered a secondary Eve, this causes a division of his anima. He holds both an idealized anima (Chiyo) and a true anima (Hana) in his soul.

Unbeknownst to Kiyoshi both "Eves" develop independently throughout the whole series as they go on to the stages of Helen then to Mary. At the Mary stage both Chiyo and Hana are idealized and respected in some way and important to Kiyoshi. During the final few chapters both Chiyo and Hana (both at the stage of Mary) are coming to the final stage of Sophia. In this stage the anima advances from an idealized madonna (Mary) to a real woman capable of possessing both positive and negative qualities (Sophia).

2/2) The final few chapters (273-277) show Kiyoshi at a fork in the road, where he is confronted with a Hobson's choice of either his idealized anima (Chiyo) or his true anima (Hana). In the chapters both Hana and Kiyoshi treat each other as equals which is illustrated by bickering, talking informally and by understanding each other. In other word Hana has already reached the stage of Sophia without Kiyoshi realizing it. Chiyo on the other hand is not treated as an equal by Kiyoshi, she is put on a pedestal. This is illustrated by the formal speech and reverence Kiyoshi holds for her but also by the fact that Chiyo is unwilling to call Kiyoshi a degenerate or a bad person. His ideal anima is unable to accept him for who he truly is while he is unable to view her as anything but perfect. Meaning Chiyo is stuck at the Mary stage.
During the final chapter Kiyoshi is forced to realize that Hana is his true anima, this is represented by Hana forcefully exposing the panties he was wearing. Her panties. The last few panels of this chapter show Kiyoshi in a moment of self-reflection where he realizes that "From the start... It was probably useless" his relationship with Chiyo was built on a lie. Chiyo was never meant to be. The true tragedy of the final chapter lies in his final thought "I... didn’t grow up at all..." he had fostered two animas in his soul. One true and one false but both still a part of him. The realization that Chiyo was a dead end from the start is a part of his soul withering. While he did discover his true anima, he lost his ideal anima which leads him to feel like he has not grown. If he recovers from the loss he will end up with Hana. If not, he will search for other perfect madonnas or continue to pursue Chiyo, trapping himself in Purgatory, never to find true happiness.

she should've won anyway

She did win in the manga though. She made Chiyo leave Kiyoshi

That's not a win by any means, especially since she destroyed any relationships between the 3 of them.

Kiyoshi would've had no choice but to go with Hana

>no choice
Fanfic cope. "Fuck off, bitch" is a very viable choice.

Good artstyle,
Shit anime

It's hard not to.

That whole chapter broke me apart, Hiramoto made a pretty good job turning Kiyoshi into a piece of shit during the final arc.
Based pasta destroying butthurt shippers.

medusa part2 "when hana piss on kyoshi" was the best part of the manga

Stop projecting, Kiyoshi knew very well in the end he couldn't blame anybody but himself with his trainwreck with Chiyo, fucker lied to her with every breath and he even used another girl to raise his chances for success.

The fuck are you smoking? Wish all seasonal anime were half as good as this one.

The madlad enlightens us once again!

Yes, at first she was a likable villain like Willy E. Coyote but I slowly started to fall for her and got annoyed at Kiyoshi's obliviousness.
Still got what she deserved, just like everyone else.

She was a bitch, so no.

>that moment of silence after she asks him out
The fucking tension between those two.

>Those Jojo's an Eva spoofs.
Hiramoto, you madlad.
Wish someone could point out all the anime/movie parodies this series has.
