I visited the Brocken mountain in Germany last year and as I was hiking up the mountain I passed through the town of Schierke.
Since the Brocken is well known for its legends of witchcraft, it's safe to say I unknowingly passed through one of Berserk's influential inspirations.
There's also a cool steam train that goes all the way up the mountain.
