I've never seen a show that hates its female cast as much as this one. They're all really irrational and prone to stupid dialogue with the exception of the pregnant parasite
I've never seen a show that hates its female cast as much as this one...
>I've never seen a show that hates its female cast as much as this one
Probably should watch more than one show in your life then, there are problems with parasyte but it's definitely not how it addresses the main characters. The shit show ending of "save da planet we are no different than monsters :(" bs that is thrown in last second is actually the main problem the series had
having a shitty female cast isn't a problem?
Didn't Migi say humans are closer to demons than parasites could ever be in like episode 2?
human are the real devils... i mean parasites
Haviabuvusg
Good point. I honestly expected Satomi to die...especially at the end.
>They're all really irrational and prone to stupid dialogue
just like females irl
kek, this.
OP is an idiot
Of all the faults of Parasyte the female cast isn't one. Most aren't even noteworthy enough to have issues, they just act like every other character in the show.
Kana was literally retarded.
Good scene though. You know the one.
Be fucking real. The female cast was pretty awful. I was actually happy when Kana died because I just wanted the story to move on. She provided absolutely nothing to the story and was literally only there to be a nuisance and cockblock Shinichi. Or how Megane-chan thought that it would be a good idea to confront a parasite all by herself when she could've had backing from her brother who was a part of the police force.
>tfw you see "are you really Izumi Shinichi" for the 30th time in one episode
Everyone else was equally as stupid around the main cast not just the women. Kana wasn't the viewer and wasn't exactly sure what Shinji was but knew there was something special and curiosity killed her.
The women acted no more stupid than the swat team in dealing with the parasyte people. Everyone acted stupid in the series, and because of that there really wasn't anything more noteworthy the women characters did from the male.
>I know I'll be able to sense if the ones giving off the parasyte vibes is you or not
>Uh, I don't think it works that way! Don't follow that feeling, I'll just call you or whatever
>This-wont-stop-me-because-i-cant-read.png
>Kimi Shinichi Izumi-kun da yo ne?
Yeah everyone seeing shinji with a giant hole in his chest and not saying a word was fine.
The police who could have searched the home and saw tons of blood with a UV light in an instant is forgivable
The swat team not having a single flame thrower was okay
The swat team following big obvious bad guy after seeing aliens to a closed off room is logical
Seeing Shinji recover so quickly was fine
The Parasyte's who approached shinji weren't with any logical fault even though the first one basically mortally wounded himself for shinji to finish him wasn't silly
Everyone was stupid in Parasyte, the women were no more stupid than anyone else in the whole series.
She wasn't able to tell out any uniqueness other than there was one around via a feeling it could have been anyone. She literally figured out the power like 2 weeks before shinji opened up and she though she knew more than she did
Everyone was stupid in Parasyte other than like 3 people, your OP pointed to women being the dumb ones. Everyone was fucking brain dead in Parasyte.
Not my OP, I agree with you, I just think Kana is extra dumb.
"curiosity killed the kana" is what happened. She basically thought she had a cool super power and could help shinji but was mistaken and paid for it. Not going to defend her dumbness but the OP was specifically mentioning the women of the show being dumb when there was everyone else being just as dumb
liked it until the last like 2 epidoes, completely wrecked it for me
>Yeah everyone seeing shinji with a giant hole in his chest and not saying a word was fine.
Only a few people in his P.E class saw that and they decided not to pry further cus, y'know that sort of shit is personal
>The police who could have searched the home and saw tons of blood with a UV light in an instant is forgivable
I don't know what this is referring to
>The swat team not having a single flame thrower was okay
That suggestion came from Shinichi, of course they're not going to take a high schooler, they must've thought he was playing too much GTA. Also they eradicated all of the parasites in the building except for Gotou, so they didn't really need it desu.
>The swat team following big obvious bad guy after seeing aliens to a closed off room is logical
Yeah that was retarded
>Seeing Shinji recover so quickly was fine
Wrong series. Also no one saw Shinichi get hurt
>The Parasyte's who approached shinji weren't with any logical fault even though the first one basically mortally wounded himself for shinji to finish him wasn't silly
Fair point but it wasn't there to kill Shinichi, it was searching for his father
>Only a few people in his P.E class saw that and they decided not to pry further cus, y'know that sort of shit is personal
police were investigating him and his school for shit out of the ordinary and specifically shinji which no one went "oh he had this huge hole in his chest"
>I don't know what this is referring to
Police investigation though I guess the anime only lightly touched it, tia anime only fag
>That suggestion came from Shinichi, of course they're not going to take a high schooler, they must've thought he was playing too much GTA
They took his advice on a lot of things and even had him on the front lines and not even something in the back of a van? lmao
>Wrong series. Also no one saw Shinichi get hurt
t anime only, he got knocked around a few infront of people jumped over walls and down buildings but no one questioned.
>t it wasn't there to kill Shinichi, it was searching for his father
literally was only attempting to become stronger, not father.
Aren't most characters in Parasyte that?
>I don't know what this is referring to
Police were heavily invested in Shinji after parasytes happening, Mom suspected parasyte, Shinji's school had a big oopsies, Shinji's teacher was a confirmed parasyte, and a ton of other evidence suspected to be shinji. They never once went through his home?
One small sweep would have been like "Yo what the fuck is all this blood stains showing up with a UV light bruh?" Blood sticks and I doubt shinji had time to redo the floors and paint. The Police were fairly dumb in a confirmed pandemic on their hands
Shinji who even had Migi inside him couldn't make out what parasyte was what when investigating a sensation at the sea wall. It's completely understandable and reasonable that Kana, who could only sense something was around and only really had it in association with Shinji she knew about, would think it was Shinji.
She never had a full grasp on how many other people with that "sense" were around her because she wasn't exactly 100% of what it meant herself.
>They're all really irrational and prone to stupid dialogue
Have you never met a woman before?
The dumbest fucker in Parasyte was that one detective who put together who the parasytes were being shinji and his teacher, then decided to go to a park ALONE and WITHOUT ANY BACKUP, to just insult her and the baby. He didn't even back up the video evidence IIRC.
That dude was so dumb it hurt, and you think the women were terribly stupid? lmao this show was fully stacked of idiots.
How faithful to the original manga was the anime adaption, storywise? Is it safe to assume its plagued by the same problems as the anime?
Manga has a few more things that hint and foreshadowing moments to the ending so it doesn't come off as such a mess compared to the anime. I wouldn't say it's worth investing in the manga if you already saw the anime, pretty much going to be the same road to go down.
other than that you'll just realize how much dumber everyone is
Thought so. Thanks.
Was kinda hyped for it back then because the source material was rather popular back in the day, think it was the only anime I've followed while it was airing, but it turned out to be quite unremarkable.
Compared to all of the hyper rational women in the real world snapping up all of those STEM jobs?
Nah, the detective guy was suicidal. He wanted to die and see his wife and daughter again
Wasn't suicidal just did have a passion to see his wife/kid again, he did speak to the detective what he knew on the case at the end. He was just a fucking dumbass
