I just started watching Toradora and Taiga just annoys the shit out of me. I hate how she treats Ryuji. She's so ungrateful and annoying goddamn. I know thats her being tusn but still i hate when anime girls act like total bitches. Especially when they get physical. Does she lighten up? Should i keep watching?

In my honest opinion, I do not understand why Zig Forums wants to watch it every christmas, it is like a tradition you keep for the sake of having a "tradition", despite having better choices or overall, thematically better choices.
A Romcom doesn't really fit for 25 days of Zig Forumsutism. It would fit for an extra to watch.

The ending is retarded. It's fulfilling on one hand but completely blue balls as well. I've been told the actual conclusion is in the manga, as usual.
Taiga acts the way she does because she's never been in an intimate relationship, and that includes her parents. People that grow up like that have different views of what it means to love someone or have someone love you. Personally, I identify with her a lot and see a lot of my younger self in her and the way she acts. She's afraid to get close to people because she's been burned. She can love someone and has the capability, but the last time she did she was betrayed by the person she gave her heart to and depended on. From my point of view, she isn't an ass hole to be an ass hole, she just distances herself from relationships the most effective way possible, anger and violence. I like Taiga because I see myself in her a lot, I identify with her, but that doesn't save her from being worst girl in her own show.

Taiga’s personality is perfectly understandable. The real problem is just how it’s exaggerated through the medium with the violence, calling people "dogs", etc when in reality she would just be standoffish and rude.
